So here is the deal on calories, use the muscle hacking leangains macro calculator as a starting point, setting it for 500 deficit, 0 steps per day and as normal muscle mass. That is your macros, do do maintenance then think that will get you there, don’t do that
Can you sharpen this up a bit please? I'm not entirely sure what you're saying.

Weigh each day and take 2 week rolling average, if you are not going down after two weeks, bump the steps to 10k…then 12, then 14, then 16…keep until you hit 20k.

Trust me this works. Don’t lower calories. After you stalled on 20k steps, lower calories from fat and carbs by ~500 and then start back at 8k steps and keep going. Most never have to reset though. Some even go to 25k steps and even up to 30k but that is huge time commitment

That’s how you hold on to muscle mass while stripping fat systematically
But this is making it sound like weight loss is a goal. And I want to do more than just "hold on" - I want lean gains.

Wait. I just realized something here. Are GLPs no longer despised by the board? We’re making strides here.

For Reta, minimum effective dose. Pairs great with try, low dose gh, and glow

This! Love this stack. 1mg reta per week, 200mg cyp, and 3IU's GH is has been amazing. Lean and peeled look.

LINK

Use that calculator as a start, select the leangains from the drop down on the top left and click imperial. Fill everything out, since you are wanting to gain weight, do opposite of what I said

Select gain weight
Select 0 steps per day
Put protein at 40%
Put carbs at 40% eat 33% before lifting, 67% after.
Rest from fat

Lift progressively 3-5 times per week
Track steps but don’t adjust anything
Track weight and waist at naval and arms
If you are gaining too much fat raise step count.

But not sure why you think Reta is going to suddenly help with lean gains. It helps control appetite so it doesn’t turn into a dirty bulk

since you are wanting to gain weight
But that's the point - I'm agnostic to weight. I want to gain lean and lose fat. I could see that being gain, lose or neutral. I'm just not sure.

Select 0 steps per day
I don't see that field anywhere.

I don't. I thought the point of reta was to burn fat with lowered risk of also burning lean. You seem to be saying it's only about appetite suppression.

Incidentally, what is the board's opinion of this Trevor Bachmeyer charater?

So instead of Reta you want tren

Reta isn’t magic and unless you are an extreme novice it’s not really possible to build muscle while losing fat as a natural

Then you didn’t select the leangains calculator in the top left in the drop down menu

Umm Reta is no different than other glp1 except hit has a third mechanism. All glp1 are anti-catabolic meaning they preserve muscle but retain is the best at it. This is used while trying to lose body fat by being in a caloric deficit

Dunno who the guy you were talking about is, but unless you want to spend 6 months spinning your wheels decide wtf you wanna do. Either you wanna get down to below 10% or you want to add some muscle. If you want to add muscle get into a slight 250-500 cal surplus, do the opposite if trying to lose

Use Reta to control appetite
