Good Wet/Dry Vac

My ShopVac is faltering.
I use it mostly for cleaning out fountains at my house, and occasionally emptying the A/C drain pan when the line clogs.
I don’t need much volume. I do want as much suction and ability to handle sludges as possible.
Recommendations?

I think Costco has a deal on a metal Dewalt vacuum for under $70. Baton Rouge location and deal is by the entrance to the right (before you see the registers.)

I swear by my Craftsman 16 gallon wet/dry shop vac. Damn thing was bought in the early 80's and is still going strong------and I've used the hell out of it over the years.
It's been on many job sites cleaning up the dirt and dust after plaster and lath removal, in my woodworking shop cleaning up sawdust and woodchips from building projects, sucking up water from flooding or plumbing issues and the dirt from cleaning car interiors.
Filters are easy to find on-line, even for that old a machine and hoses and attachments are pretty much universal fit.
