I bought a used one with 30 engine hours on it in 2016, I had to lash the valves once but otherwise it just runs. Well, I also had to get the deck welded again where a bracket was tearing away. I don't recommend it if you have a tricky hill, it gets sketchy for me. The brakes suck.

I have a Craftsman LT2000 lawn tractor with a Kohler engine. I have about a half acre yard. In October, it will make 21 years old. I have replaced belts, blades, spindles, oil, oil filters, etc. No major issues.

I have definitely got my money's worth on it.

I am not sure if you can even get Craftsman anymore. Maybe Lowes carries the brand now but not sure if it's the same quality.

I'm also looking to get a new riding lawnmower.

Anybody have any exerience with a battery powered riding mower?

I have an EGO blower and the trimmer/edger/pole saw and have liked them.

Greenworks has a big discount on their riding mower.

It's a "renewed" one, but for $2500 instead of $4300 seems like a really good deal. The EGO one is silly expensive. I can't justify spending that much on a battery operated mower that i know i'll have to replace the batteries after 3 or 4 years.

I went from about to pull the trigger on a Gravely ZT X 42" for $4k to about to pull the trigger on this Green Works 60V 42" mower.
Anybody want to talk me out of it? It's just residential use and my lot is just a bit under an acre, so i'm only really cutting maybe half an acre at most.

The deck gauge thickness is a big one for me. Get the heavy deck with square edges vs the lite deck with rounded edges.

Also, make sure you don't get a deck that is too wide to go through any gates you might need to fit in.

Residential... Any suggestions on brand?.. Any problems buying from big box stores? Non zero turn is okay but would like to get one of those but hate the price...

I got an X580 John Deere. It's awesome.

I have a little over an acre.
When I use my riding mower it's a lawn tractor Husqvarna TS-248XD with a Kaw 691 engine. This is as sound of a lawn tractor you'll find. I got it 1/2 price from Lowe's 4 years ago because it had small dent on hood. Not a single issue yet
