Maybe down 22 to 1085

ETA: But it looks like 22 is impassable, not sure how far up 22 there is water

Yeah I guess so. The water has got to be high that way too I would think. But then again I never thought I'd see madisonville as it is now.

The pig wasn't flooded per the owner so I'd imagine that bridge is ok, although cops were blocking it from people going in

The pig must be on higher ground. I've come across that bridgebeing blocked off twice before, and the water wasn't even close to the height it is now

Now that it's dark, things get really eerie , hope there's no fatalities around here.

I was surprised to hear it too. That was about at 8. There's really no telling though

Definitely feels like the worst of it is here now. The gusts are really strong and heaviest rain so far.

Absolutely unbelievable

I'm not trolling, I love the area. But, how is this surprising. The river is usually about 3 feet below the concrete banks in Madisonville year round. With a storm passing to our west it's known that the water will pile up on the northshore and push up the Tchefuncte. I always had trouble understanding why all people didn't have their homes elevated by about 8-10 feet like many of the homes south of hwy 22. This didn't happen in Lili and/or Isadore?

Cdaniel

The pumps over by oak harbor are saving our asses. The service road with the dealerships have some cars with water up to the steering wheels.

The pics I saw show about 2-3 feet of water in businesses like what was Badeaux's. That would only require about a 6-7 foot surge plus wave action.

I'm on the corner of OST and Rama. Lopez was fine. The levy and pumps are what we need to worry about.
