" Gee, that's news to me "... signed John Henderson 6-7 335 DT for the Oakland Raiders. Saw him in HS too.
Yay for you! Lets throw Albert Haynesworth out there too. Didn't say there weren't ANY, but it's very unlikely for guys that tall to be DT's in the NFL, and the likelihood that this guy will be one of the few isn't good.

John Henderson and Albert haynesworth were coached by Chavis fwiw

Thats why Mike Brockers is playing DT at LSU, at 6'6. Chavis loves those big DT's with wing span to disrupt those quick slants(hands up), and eat up running lanes. They usually don't get a pass rush like the shorter guys(leverage), but Chavis likes that to come off the edge. Look at his History.

Brad Smalling was the largest I've seen. Didn't know how much he weighed, just knew it was more than 350 because that's how high the scale went.
We all know how that worked out.

Exception, not the rule. This guy will be on the OL. Everyone said DJ Fluker was the perfect nose tackle coming out of high school for Sabans defense, and ended up on the OL, I really believe this is the same situation. Not saying its not possible or unheard of, but in this case, this kid will play on offense

He'll play offense(is a good DT but is being recruited by everyone as an OL)and will do it at UT or Bama. He's been to LSU before and has always liked us but 1 I doubt we could get him if we wanted and 2 I doubt we have room unless we are going to miss on all of our defensives targets. That would be bad news Richardson or not.

Richardson played at Ensworth High School in the Nashville area..They won a State Title in 2009 I believe, but Richardson' has since transferred to John Henderson's alma mater Pearl-Cohn, to get eligible. https://www.govolsxtra.com/news/2010/oct/28/richardson-enrolled-at-pearl-cohn/

Signed, Brockers
Wow, didn't know he was in the NFL? He hasn't exactly done much at LSU YET. Richardson will be a Offensive linemen book it.
Actually, Brockers graded out pretty high for a kid playing his first year on the inside. He will more than likely be a starting DT his sophomore season fwiw.
