It never fails. What team are you involved with?

Just don't see him going very early in MLB draft

I'm not saying he is going to go extremely high, but he is generating legitimate interest. There were multiple scouts at the first scrimmage they played a few weeks ago.

.....unless they are basing it on potential

Seriously? Ofcourse they would be basing it on potential, have you ever followed the draft?

What motivation would I have to come on here and lie about what I saw? We played them AT Walker High School and beat them 8-1.....in THAT game, he did not impress me too much.

Doesn't mean he's not gonna be good......I just didn't see it.

IMO.....again......He will not be drafted early and will play football at LSU.

Magee is probably like any other legit high school prospect. He has a number in mind and if a team matches it, he goes, if not goes to LSU.

He is legit as a baseball player or the Yankees scouts would not be on him hard!! Might of had an off day the day you guys played.

Yep.....they were there as well.

Like I said...it's my opinion.....Just don't see him being drafted high enough to NOT go to LSU.

Football is his sport

I didn't say you were lying. I just believe that most of the time when someone comes on this board (or other boards) and says his team dominated a recruit or "completely shut him down" it is an exaggeration because the person wasn't looking at the game objectively. Just like the kid that came on here a while back saying Carson Baranik isn't a legit pitching prospect because they "blow him up every time", or a guy I saw on a Mississippi high school baseball board that said Jacoby Jones wasn't even the best player on his high school team.

Just for reference, you said your team "completely shut him down". If it was played at Walker it was a scrimmage. How many at-bats did he have for you to shut down? You've already said he walked twice. You also point out he didn't try to steal bases. What did his coach/team have to gain from him running in a scrimmage 2 weeks before the regular season?

5 at-bats
No hits
2 walks
One nice catch in CF...one error

We threw out 3 baserunners....and they stole 2 bases.......TM did not attempt a steal.
