lolwut??? He's played in a grand total of what, 3 games????
Jones is 22 yrs old, has a newborn daughter at home, not a fan of going to class, and just won the NC
I could see him being drafted in the 3rd - 4th rd. based on future potential. His stock could easily rise in private workouts with teams interested.
He has the same size as Big Ben and Cam Newton, and would be best suited as an understudy for 2 years. Some NFL executive is willing to take a low risk draft choice , that could be a high reward QB down the road.
3rd round money pays $3M over a 4 yr contract ($750K per)

Urban offense. Won't make him more pro ready. He can only hurt his stock now. He will definitely go in the top 3 rounds of this year's draft and maybe even higher. He needs to go sit behind a vet for 2 years and learn a pro offense then he will be a stud.

I don't think Barrett would have won those three games
Then you are smoking paint chips then. Barrett is accurate and the WRs did more than anything for Cardale. Barrett gives them a true dual threat QB. Jones is a black Big Ben potential wise, but hasn't had enough game experience.
Give me Barrett over both Miller and Jones if I'm at OSU.

I am good with being compared to big ben sans the rape allegations.
But Big Ben has 2 super bowls and is a top 8-10 QB in league every year.
Cardale go pro sir!

Thank you. I have no idea why these morons are now saying this bullshite.
Barrett was there absolute best college qb on the roster right now and was running the show incredibly. Especially passing, but much better runner too.
There is a thread on the MSB as well claiming how Ohio St wouldn't have done this had Barrett not got hurt, LOL WTF
They say no way Barrett beats Alabama.. LOL.. Jones was 18 of 35 (51% completion) with 1 td and 1 terrible INT.. he also had 45 rushing on the ground and he was slow as frick in that game.

It makes sense for him to go pro now, he is 22 years old and a sophomore. Pro teams dream of a QB this big and fast with a rocket arm. makes good decisions. now would be the time to go, plus he just had a daughter.

If Cardale comes back I think the offense is better with him. Look at that three game stretch. Barrett would be my next choice then Miller. Alot of it has to do with Miller's shoulder injury (AC joint).

1. Tell Miller he should transfer.
2. Let Barrett/Jones battle for the job.

Miller transfers to LSU or FSU
Jones cashes in and goes pro
JT Barrett starts next year

Herbstreit said that Miller told him 2 days ago that he was staying at OSU
You heard this on Mike & Mike this morning didn't you?
FWIW what Herbstreit said was, " Miller told me at their walkthrough was that, right now, he's staying at tOSU." Which means he's not sure, but he probably didn't want to distract the team before the game.

This dude is not coming here. I don't know how anyone can get excited for this. He will most likely have an opportunity at Oregon, FSU or Houston if Jameis/Oregon QB leave early. All 3 of those teams sit in wide open offenses. LSU has plenty of talent on offense but it's hard to sell playing QB here under our system. History speaks for itself on the QB struggles with Les. Our system just doesn't get the most out of the QBs...nor does it expect them to. Les will never expect a QB here to shoulder the team in a game and that's partly our struggles. They never ask too much and never take the shackles off so they can mature. It's always going to be a run first philosophy under Miles.

If he has the talent to play in the NFL, then he should go to LSU or FSU. He will learn how to play from under center at both of them. If he wants to put up flashy numbers his senior year and then fizzle out of the league in 3 years, go to Oregon or Houston.
ETA: I don't think there's a chance he comes here. Just saying of he wants to play QB in the NFL then Oregon and Houston are poor choices.

Ummm ues it does. Wright is a WR. Totally different. Cardale woukd be drafted but not high. No way anyone risks their first few rounds on a QB with three starts

Jones may turn pro but 3 games won't make him a high pick.

He came out saying he is still unsure about transferring. Does he think he can win the job back? Who would you all pick if you were OSU?
I think he might stay if Cardale leaves.

unsure of returning
In the article, they say he's unsure of returning, which means he's thinking about transferring. If it said "Unsure of transferring," it would mean he was wavering in his already reported decision to transfer.
ETA: So basically nothing changes.

I think its a very very very very small possibility that he is coming here anyways. Why are you hanging on his every word? He hasn't even mentioned LSU as far as I know.
