I think we'll sneak into the top 10. I'll be very pleased with that. If we get good contributors out of half the class then it is a success. I'm pleased already except for QB and S though.

Hopefully but you have to admit its a disappointing class when we are having so much success on the field.
If this was after a middle of the pack season I would understand but not this year.
We are in need of a top notch recruiter in the most desperate way.
I know I am going to get killed for this one but I think Frank Wilson is a little overated. He is not the recruiting god we all proclaim him to be. He is a great recruiter but is only valuable with LA kids. When LA is down on talent or some midget steals a recruit or two we will not have a good class.
Brick Haley is an amazing recruiter but how long has it been since he has gotten one of his targets. Every year he gets in late with a couple of big fish but always loses. He needs to identify the talent early and get after it at the same time all the other schools do.
Brick needs to cal Isaih Golden asap and get him at our junior day.
We can't continue to fall asleep early oos. Its time for the coaches to not only do an amazing coaching job but to put in the same effort recruiting.

Guys…
He has not released an official top 3. That "Auburn mod" is not a mod. He just has a little icon he made that says mod. The only AU mods on 247 are Bryan Matthews, Phillip Marshall, and Ron Sanders. No one else has credible info.

i'm sorry, i didnt read between the lines in your previous post where you mentioned BG.
as far as i can tell, we are still in it for CP and if we get him, great. if not, we have a decent class coming in that should rep the school well.

Well at least someone agrees with me. Wilson is overrated. He is a good recruiter but he isn't locking Louisiana down and where his impact is being felt is in New Orleans. Other than that, he isn't landing any great OOS prospects like Porter did. Plus we're losing more blue chip recruits in LA since he took over. We lost Robinson/Sylve last year and Devall/Bourque/Collins this year...
We do need another great recruiter and anyone who says we don't, needs to take the P&G glasses off just because we were good this year. You need a full cupboard every year in recruiting.

Ok, who the shite were out recruiters in 09 when had the number 1 class? shite, people just cant be happy for Gods sake.

Collins-same as Jarvis...he was all LSU to begin with
Not discrediting his work with that class but he is overrated, IMO. That being said, he is still a good recruiter and a better coach. We just need someone else that is elite on the staff to help Wilson/Haley out. Cooper's recruiting is more towards guys with big ceilings that he can coach up. He doesn't really go for the elite blue chip guys, he just develops them to their max. Which is fine. WR coach needs to be a homerun hire...seriously.
