re: Do we think Chambliss staying at OM means he gets 6th year approved?

There was a story by Matt Zenitz that said Ole Miss was feeling pessimistic about his waiver like the day before he came out and said he would return to Ole Miss if granted another year. So this may all be BS just for good feelings at OM with the playoff and for recruiting purposes. Or maybe them trying to persuade the NCAA to give him another year.

Ole Miss filed another appeal yesterday and hired some big shot lawyer. They are pretty confident he will get another year. frick it. I hope he does get it and we go to their house next year and smoke em in front of all their fans.
It's not a "big shot lawyer." It's Tom fricking Mars. The Ole Miss alum contract attorney that bled all over social media for weeks trying to prove how LSU couldn't possibly be hiring Kiffin and then how LSU couldn't possibly have the money to hire him AND still have NIL money. Dude's a pussy.

If I were him I’d go pro, some team is likely to grab him earlier than he should and his tape isn’t gonna get better than it is now

If they beat Miami, there is zero chance he doesn't go pro. If he gets the waiver and stays at OM, he will potentially cost himself tens of millions of dollars.

I think OM did the smart thing and got him locked in as soon as they could.. Probably a 50/50 thing if he gets the waiver right now and they are all hopefully optimistic he will get it

Don’t care if he’s not going to LSU.

I think it is the opposite. He may know it is very unlikely and wants to go out a true blue folk hero. This is Ole Miss's high water mark.
