I never said we were great but you gotta admit, when your 90 million dollar coach gets out recruited by a coach on the hottest of seats who won’t be there after a year, that’s pretty embarrassing.

Yep and he still chose to come here.

You ever think maybe South Carolina overpaid?

Sometimes you just run the bill up on your opponent because you can.

There could be any number of reasons why he didn't sign. In the end it won't matter. LSU will get a better QB and USCe will still be USCe.

Kiffin has been here for 5 minutes and forced you to overpay to keep your QB. THATS what is embarrassing.

What? He's been our coach for a total of 5 days. Actually, it says more about your program that a kid who ya'll been on for years, even considered us and almost came. Not the flex you think you had.

But he didn’t come did he? When does almost count? Is that what your program has sunk to? Hanging on to almost? Pathetic.

I'm only gonna respond once to you, b/c you don't seem like someone capable of grasping what is going on in the CFB/NIL World rt now

The QB position is going to have an amount you can allot, and while more than any other position, this amount is still finite, if you plan on having a team around him to win championships.

This kid is not probably even starting next year, unless he is your only option and your team is not playing for championships. Not worthy of even backup money on a team trying to make the playoffs.

So you let a SC pay him whatever to bust his chops and get some coaching. If he proves his potential vs good competition, then you spend.

Your team outbidding another for his services now is actually a knock on your program.

This is what Duckworth said this past summer when he committed to the cocks.

“I always loved South Carolina,” Duckworth told Rivals’ Chad Simmons upon committing again this summer. “Coach Beamer was always the same. We have been close for a long time. That is what kept South Carolina high on my list. They had a change of offensive coordinator, so I had to get to know coach Shula better, but South Carolina was always up there.”

“Coach Beamer never changed with me. He made me feel special. They always wanted me there and South Carolina is a place I can be successful at.”

Probably gets similar money with a program/Coach he knows better.
Yawn, NO true freshman QB from anywhere in the country would be the starter at LSU in 2026 anyway.

He won’t transfer to LSU so you shouldn’t even get your hopes up for that to happen. Kiffen wanted Sellars and couldn’t even get him to transfer. Your theory might sound good in your head but it’ll never come to fruition. Kiffen likely will have to go to the DII route again like he did for Chambliss.

Good luck to LSU who had to have their governor stick his nose in their screwup.

Duck and mama never had any real intentions of coming here. Just another ploy to drive up his offer and SC fell for it. Unfortunately, that’s how the nil game is played these days.

Even if all of that was true. You have Shane Beamer.
