In his defense, he did go to the raiders and was outspoken about not wanting them to draft Jamarcus. Al Davis was a real POS about that whole thing

I think that fact came out way after the fact like in 2016 but yea, point remains. I dont see him taking another bite at that apple

This is exactly it. The anger by those in media was projecting their fear of LSU being dominant. The media likes the idea of LSU (culture, food, music, people, etc). It lets them write their cute headlines and opinion pieces, but they reserve should be football domination to other programs.

Exactly this. They did the same thing 4 years ago when BK left precious prestigious Notre Dame.

I have a feeling that by the time Kiffin would have an opportunity to bounce to a school like Alabama,

What I’ve thought (& said) all along, is CK does not want to go to Bama….and be great. Shoot, why share a shadow of both Saban and Bryant, when you can be the only GOAT at Bama’s rival LSU?

At 50 yrs old, Kiff can win 6-7 championships before he retires and then the GOAT debate will really be good……. Saban or Kiff??

Sadly they do have a good coach, can’t let them win three in a row.

Davis said that during the press conference he held about firing Kiffin. "I get that you didn't want to draft Jamarcus Russell, he is a great player, get over it." or something to that effect

Alabama was product of Saban. They never were just a straight up better job than LSU. Saban would have done the same thing if he stayed at LSU that he did at Bama. Might have even won more because he already had it rolling. LSU has always been one of the best jobs in country, but they’ve continually stepped on their own dicks and not had the right pieces in place for long periods of time. Install someone who can build and sustain and LSU can be a dynasty level football program. There’s always been that potential but something always got in the way of it happening.

It always came across as fake outrage to me. Also, it seems like the popular thing to do now.

Aggy won the battle this year, but lost the war.

And they know it.

Glad they can see the truth instead of be blinded by their schools glasses like some others. This is going to be a fun ride.

I told an ag fan you have no one to blame but yourself. The way you embarrassed us on our homefield has produced a sh*tstorm for your team. There is an a$$ whipping heading your way. Elko won't be able to stop it.

Aggy better also stay worried about the dollars Texas is spending.

And Texas Tech. Different conference, but same state, and aTm can no longer tell Texas people if they want to stay in state and win a NC you have to come here.
