Before Surtain there was Tony Brown whose sister ran track for LSU. Went to Bama instead of staying within driving distance of home.

Kid was hard to like from the beginning
If he didn’t commit when Rodney was offered he probably wasn’t ever going to and if that’s the case own it and don’t drag your home state university through your petty drama
It’s fine if you want to leave just do it like Chris Allen did, own it and don’t make a circus out of it. It paints LSU in poor contrast to Bama and it wasn’t necessary
Hate the optics of losing another big recruit to Saban but LSU still trending up

There’s been so many it’s hard to tell which was worst. Surtain was the most damaging because he played LSU for two years only to leave them high and dry at the very last minute with no recourse but he at least didn’t act like some thug high on weed like Sophser did. That kid just screams lazy. Good riddance.

Actually not bothered by the fact that he is going to Bama. Was never high on him and after seeing that ESPN cap video, glad he ain’t a Tiger!

We really should add Janzen to that list. He was committed and then just didn't send in the paperwork before signing with Tennessee the next day. I mean, given how it all worked out, we are all super happy it worked out that way but he kind of puts even those guys to shame with his recruiting bs.

I think Sophser is going to be a bust. You can’t teach motor in a kid and he displays zero effort. Some of his film he looks like he’s got cement in his shoes coming off the ball.

I honestly whole-heartedly beleive that some of these kids grow up feeling repressed and blame it on their state they live in. Therefore, they toy with/disrespect the state school and leave state with that bitter attitude. You usually see it in their parents too. They just have negative attitudes towards where their state.
