I went to the Rayville/Richwood Basketball game last Friday night. Bell had 4 points in limited action. He didn't look physically impressive but he looked bigger than 160 lbs. Guess it's a good thing he chose football.

not to slam rr's dad or anything, i think rr would have committed early on but his dad is the one who kept him from doing it. i also think he was trying to sway rr to not go to LSU. in the end he did what any father would do an that's ensure his son will be happy which is good. by the way i work for at&t as well, here in okc.

If Bell can get qualified, he'll have a shot at a job. Other than Julio, our whole WR/Slot situation is wide open.

It'll be a dogfight. BJ Scott (if he stays on Offense)... Maze... McCoy maybe...he disappeared too much last year though. Norwood, Bowman.

i just don't see how you guys think that an undersized kid like Bell will see the field over guys that have played already and a year in weight training.

We have no choice nut to look hard at the new guys, because last year no WR stepped up to compliment JJ. Our tight ends are fine and our backs can catch it in the flat, but our slot position and the "other" wideout never accomplished anything.

Bowman is the likely grade casualty. And he runs in the 4.8 area so that's not a promising start for a guy hoping to see the field right away.

see? This makes no sense to me.

You guys are a breaking in a new QB and hoping to start 2-3 true or redshirt freshmen at WR's. (Slot is the 3rd WR I'm counting.) how in the hell can you guys (not necessarily you) go to other SEC boards and expect to be contending for the West? A rebuilt left side of the OL.

You guys better hope for quite a few 10-6 ball games to even contend. I'm not saying that just because i hate Bama. I only dislike Alabama because of their know-it-all, bow to me now, douchebag fans. I really am being objective as I possibly can. Not sure many of you Bama fans like to look at that side of the story.

The top 5 hype is unjust, IMO. But as far as the West is concerned, we are right in the thick of it, even if the main reason is b/c there isn't any team that is loaded top to bottom. We'll be stout on Defense, and hopefully that can get us to 10 wins (we definitely have the schedule for it)

BamaInHsv-

What ever came from that rumor that Mcilwain (OC) was about to leave? Was that all it was- a rumor?

I don't get it either. Bama fans have tried convincing me Ingram is better than Coffee, which I don't agree with. They've tried to explain to me that McElroy is going to be at least as good as JPW was, which can't be validated at all right now and what makes that even harder to imagine is the fact that they lose their TE, best offensive lineman, and starting running back. They return a receiver and that's it.

They will win with an easy schedule and good defense. But I really think that they have tons of question marks on the offensive side that haven't been worked out.

I'm really interested to hear about them in the spring.

Right now Ole Miss has the least question marks.
