In Tennessee they have a Mr Football at for offense, defense, and special teams in all 5 classes. This stupid because they might have 5 d-1 players a year.

You must be referring to your report about him running a 10.5 100 meter last year when actually it was a 11.5. Who's the fool?

No way is he better than Ford or Randle.

He arguably had the best year in the whole state by any player. What are you talking about?

Ford ran for 2,953 yards and 29 touchdowns. He was the best player in the state imo.

Matherene-

rushed for 1,288 yards and 20 touchdowns on 180 carries and completed 165 of 235 passes (70.2 percent) for 2,673 yards and 30 touchdowns with seven interceptions.

Not a bad year. HIs basically was a 1 man offense, and led them to the state title.

I'm not saying that. They dont give the award to the highest rated recruit with the best numbers.

I think Ridge Turner had the best year in the state, but that's just me.

That's not taking anything away from Ford.

As far as Matherene, he outplayed Reuben Randall headup in the state SemiFinals.

Does that mean he is a better college prospect? No. But Matherene was a damn good HS QB.

Matherne was good, but if you're going to go by stats far and away the winner is Duron. Matherne would've gotten his arse whooped just like Duron if he had to play Curtis instead of Shaw.

BTW, I watched all 5 of the games in the Dome. Some on TV, some in person and the best player I saw was Sentimore.

maybe, but that didnt happen and they played Shaw and won the 4A title.

some say the title was won in the Semi's vs Bastrop, who everyone had pegged to walk away easily with another 4A title.

200 yards of penalties and a hurt Randle certainly didn't hurt their chances. Randle's hamstring was the difference in that game. He couldn't run which was a huge part of that offense.

you can keep trying to discount what he did, that's fine. He was more than worthy enough for this award. That was my point. It doesn't have to be the highest recruited guy every year.

You are a idiot! I'm never said anything about him being selected as La. Mr. Football. I think he's good enough to play big time football.
