because Schmidt is a 3 year guy going into 2 and that’s just the one that pops into my head.
William’s, Schmidt, Evans and Arrambide all turn 21 in the fall of 2026
Rizy, Pearson and Curiel turn 21 during or before the 2026 season.

Before the day of the draft
Have to turn 21 on or before August 1. I think this went into place in 2023 instead of the date changing with the date of the draft or the 45 days prior that they used to do.

I doubt Jay and Yeskie have any interest in taking Volchko in the Spring and hoping it works out. The only path for him at LSU is to transfer now and work with Yeskie through Fall/Winter.

UGA would be a good fit for both sides.
It’s still going to be hard to see a Spring transfer working out for him as a solid weekend starter in the SEC. A lot needs fixing. He’ll miss 5 months with the coaches/catchers. And I think it demonstrates a lack of confidence in his future in baseball.
Putting Stanford on hold to make a 10 month hard push in baseball would be a bet on himself. I think that’s what Jay needed to see for it to work at LSU.

Pretty sure he said he wants to finish his degree at Stanford and doesn’t want to join a team till January.
So a guy with command issues doesn’t want to participate in Fall ball.

As we wind down the portal adds, I keep thinking of that scene in Oceans 11 with George Clooney and Brad Pitt and one of the characters says "you think we need one more?....ok, we'll get one more".
