(2) to maintain THIS class as almost a symbol of that continuity. it seems that all of that is falling apart
With the heightened importance of the QB position, Narcisse to Auburn must be considered a failure, however symbolic, particularly with losing Allen (probably the most critical need going forward is ILB). Can't blame O for Moses - I think he was all Bama - the firing of Miles was obviously the excuse he was waiting for.
(Hope I'm wrong :fingerscrossed:)

The problem with recruiting nowadays is the mentality of these kids . There are less kids like Fournette and Guice who display maturity, honor, loyalty, and sincerity and more kids like Moses who seem to lack any of these qualities.
LOL You guys have got to calm down with these dramatic claims about high school football players. Narcisse isn't dodging the freaking draft he just decommitted from a college football team. Just because he's from Louisiana doesn't mean he's obligated to attend LSU.

why give pub to this kids decommitting and committing and listing their top 20-10 and 5.
this is his second or third decom?
make it be like the schools... NOT MENTION of their names in the media until after signing day.
the look at me stuff has officially gotten old..

i just meant maintaining this class, so Mosses is irrelevant
if we just lost LN to Auburn, that's all in the game
but potentially losing LN and MB? disaster
Allen hurt, but that was expected, too. we didn't have him before O so losing him doesn't apply

Let's let this play out before melting down too much. If after naming an OC, we still don't get any QB's, then maybe you can worry a little.

Update: Narcisse is on ESPN radio right now and says he has opened up because of uncertainty with LSU offensive staff.
Did he seriously say this?
Oh well, the bigger the disaster the quicker we can move on from Coach O.

We are running out of qb options just as we did last season.. especially if they get infatuated elsewhere
Fortunate to even get Scott offering so late
I just don't see how we are any better off yet but of course it can change

So much for O the GOAT recruiter
Posted on 12/12/16 at 9:35 am to SlowFlowPro
Maybe O went to meet the QB from Landry-Walker who has been on fire lately and just killed West Monroe for the State 5A title. Lock him and Brennan is still coming, yet our 2 young QB's sitting the bench (Scott & McMillan) are actually coming alone to be able to run the spread. So, LSU is stacked at QB!!! Plus his rehab is not going good, and skinny legs, says look elsewhere young man!!

Oh, and Harris is still there waiting for PT again!!

We hired Coach O with the assumption that he would be an elite recruiter. If he botches this recruiting class, confidence in the program will dwindle.
There's a lot of difference being a position coach and assigned a specific area to recruit, while recruiting players to come and play for Jimmy Johnson, Pete Carroll, or Les Miles.
It's a lot different being a HC, running a program, and convincing recruits to come play for Ed Orgeron.
