Mauck also had a set back during his recovery and needed another operation And that was 24 years ago
Exactly. But don’t think anyone will listen to logic and reason.

You need to go watch the 2001 SECCG

Dude. Just shut the frick up until you watch the 2001 SECCG. He literally won that game running the ball against a UT team that beat us earlier in the season (I was at that game) and would have played for a BCS Title. Once Rohan Davey went down, his legs were the main offense.
DTs for Tennessee were John Henderson and Albert Haynesworth, both future All Pros. They’re STILL looking for Matt.

Big John Henderson and Haynesworth have to be up there as far as the best 2 DTs on a college team ever.

Wa Mauck a member of the team when he sustained the injury?

My son had it and was back at practice in 5 months.
Was in a boot most of that time.
So, if he had the surgery in Nov., then he may miss Spring, but very well could be throwing with receivers over the Summer, and ready for Fall

Tell me you’re young and dumb without telling me you’re young.

what position does your son play?

Im dumb but your claiming a QB who never had more than 175 yards in a whole freaking seasons is a running threat tell me your old and don’t know shite about today comparing Mauck to Leavitt. he ran for more yards in a short 25 season than Mauck did his whole career. Leavitt depends on running way more than Mauck did and if he loses mobility he loses value

So answer me this, did you or have you ever watched Matt Mauck play football at LSU or are you just blindly googling his stats and going off of that?
Almost positive you’re just googling stats, and never watched him based on your responses. Look at the average rushing yds and attempts at qbs 22-25 years ago verses now (outside of option schools). You’ll find the game was different. Mauck can be a dual threat qb, but in an offense that didn’t call a lot of qb runs. That means it’s not a qb run system, not that the qb running that offense isn’t dual threat! Mauck literally came from an option offense before minor league baseball!

I watched him lol
Yay so you’re saying he won a national championship after the surgery right? So what the point your trying to make then? If Leavitt comes here are we going to change the offense to a pro style? Or are we going to run the offense where we expect him to run the option and be a real running threat? In that case if he loses mobility then that’s a problem we ain’t running some old arse offense that Mauck was running after his injury

Yes he was.
Yes he was.

True, but he was also playing in the same system. The concern is less over the injury and more over losing time in the spring learning a new system. Of course, none of that matters without an OL....

QB — Did - years ago ( so I’m sure medical procedures and treatments have improved)
