Not true. They've been recruiting/following Ramirez for a while now. Camp was their best way to evaluate his talent

The kid is 1st Team All State and showed out at camp. When you can stick the #1 WR in the nation with a bad hamstring, you deserve an offer.

Oh wait. OP has ovaries? It all makes sense now.

If he's good enough for Evangel to recruit him, he's good enough for LSU.
Easy, just kidding.

I'm surprised WM didn't snatch him up. Seriously though, I love how this guy assumes because he/she didn't know about the kid that he wasn't a known commodity. As previously stated 5A 1st Team All State, 6'2 4.4, forty and a lengthy frame.
I think this is a case of NWLA not being covered by the pay sites as well as SWLA/ WM. He was spoken of very highly up here after the season finished and it pretty much depended on how he did in the big camp circuits. He obviously did his thing, congrats are in order.

Mills started more games as a freshman than those 2.
Plus those guys are physical freaks. They never played together cus guys like that dont come around every cycle.

They're not solely evaluated at camp you moron. LSU evaluates them long before they ever set foot in camp. The reason they want to see them in camp before they offer is they have questions about them. When they go into camp and dominate elite competition those questions are answered. Now obviously you have guys like Willis or Speedy who you know is already elite before they even step into camp. Not everyone has that kind of exposure.
Go crawl back into whatever hole you came from. Thanks.

Ill take a 6'2 defensive back with 4.4 speed that covered the best 3 receivers in America over a kid from out of state that doesn't play the quality of high school football that Louisiana has. By the way the kid was all state and had 76 tackles, 3 int.
This kid has all the measurables, and came to camp and backed it up with his play. You're just looking at his rankings and star gazing, did you ever think its because maybe this kid didnt go to a school that gets looked at by the pay sites or hasnt attended a bunch of camps. But I bet if he started going to more camps and showed his skills like he did at LSU, he would get more offers and more exposure. And what about when he plays his senior year at Evangel and gets coveted more and his rankings sky rockets. Would you be happy then and would you come on here and apologize for questioning the coaches who know a hell of a lot more than you?

Man you are horrible. Just stop. All your defense mechanisms are horrible too, "you'll probably call me dumb" derp "at least I come with a reason" derp. Just shut up and trust the coaches, not some recruiting service.

Lets go after kids who have proven themselves on the field the last 2 or 3 and have film to back them up .

This is the really stupid part. Ramirez was All-State in 5A but he hasn't proven himself on the field?

No you misunderstood me.. i think Ramirez HAS proven hisself on the field AND had a great camp.
I was referreing to kids who come and JUST have a great camp and have mediocre film and havent done anything special for 2 or 3 years.
