If he were an Alabama commit he would be the top RB on Rivals and in the conversation when you talk about the no. 1 ranked player.

best hands of our RB corps

he can catch great

If this is true, then it sucks that we've wasted two years of playing him out of the backfield.

Is TH unable to catch a forward pass?

Why does an Oklahoma fan care about LSU's running back situation?

Ford will play. Redshirting him would be a waste. How much he will play I don't know, but he is in SEC shape right now and has the kind of game that sometimes translates very well to the next level.

I've always heard that running the football is actually one of the easiest transitions to make to college from HS. On the other hand, I've also always heard that pass protection blocking schemes are very difficult for true freshmen to master. Since I'm sure that Les Miles wants JJ to survive the season, I'm very skeptical that Ford will see the field next season.

We really have 5 very good backs right now if you count TH. We don't need Ford next season.

what LSU "needs" ... is not gonna be a factor 3-4 years from now when Ford is determining the right time to enter the draft ... if Ford is an elite running back he will NOT be at LSU for 5 years ... if he is NOT an elite running back, does any of this even matter?

people need to accept the fact that LSU has been become a recruiting machine and red shirting players will be limited ... we are fighting to keep them from declaring for the draft after three years ... thinking that they will hang around for five years is a dream

I expect Ford to be no less than our third back next year. He's SEC ready. Book it.
