What exactly are the facts that LSU fans are ignoring? It seems like Auburn fans are the ones who are getting very excited about rumors and hypothetical scenarios so far in the recruiting process.

I still won't count us out for Dyer. I think this year we will feature a balanced attack, maybe he'll be convinced when we beat down Auburn this year.

Ever heard of marvin harrison!!!!!!!! and the only receiver that is doing anything in the nfl out of that group is bowe and reed! and i dont know most people who are top Wideouts would not want to go to RUNNINGBACK U! IDK makes sense to me!
Running Back U? Are you freaking kidding me? In 2005 you put Ronnie Brown and Carnell Williams into the league. Since then, the only RB from Auburn to make it to the NFL is Kenny Irons. With that kind of output from your running backs, wide receivers should be flocking to Auburn in droves.

What the hell is hypothetical about Dyer saying we were his leader and have been for a long time?? And Seastrunk with all his positive quotes about AU plus not taking any visits to any place other than AU just adds more fuel to the fire with him.
I see no rumors you speak of??

Until Dyer, Lattimore, or Seastrunk commits to Auburn, everything about Auburn's amazing recruiting class is hypothetical. Looking at the guys who have committed already, the class is decent, but not particularly different than Tuberville's efforts over the past two or three years.

Eh, you Aubbies' have an unusual understanding of "facts" and "reality."
I posted facts when I said that AU's recruiting efforts to date are extremely poor, i.e., you have a verbal from ONE (1) four star player. The ONE 4 star player that you have is like the 26th ranked WR. Those are facts. Sad facts.
AU fans dream and speak of what could be. LSU fans speak of what is.

We really hate it when Auburn fans laugh at us because it's you guys that prevented us from winning the Natl' Championship in 2006. That killed our shot of Back to back BCS trophies and we had to settle for 2 in a 5 year span.
ETA: Breaking your little hearts these last 2 years have been somewhat of a consolation though.

Why? Because, the last two times Dyer has left Auburn, the Auburn pay sites go make an arse of themselves trying to sell memberships. EACH time, Dyer goes on record, as to saying none of it is true. Once on Arkansas television, and this last time on statewide radio.
Auburn fans were swarming their boards a week ago, claiming Dyer had commited. I mean seriously, why go all that way, just to have that lonely walk back all dissapointed? When will AU fans learn their lesson?
*NEWS FLASH* AU isnt what AU fans think they are...Arkansas has a better record on the plains this decade....AU is not RB U, as AU fans claim it to be....
And the Marvin Harrison post from earlier in this thread, I mean WOW, JUST WOW, how ignorant can you get?
And to think, the entire time we have been in the SEC, I thought Mississippi State was the reason our conferences academics were down a bit.....

KeysOpenDoors - it is fact that current Auburn is both Dyer's and Seastrunk's leader. It is also a fact that it is a long way until NSD. MANY things can change between now and then. Hopefully, for our sake, we don't fall on our face this fall, because that could turn some high priority recruits off. I'm thinking we show some signs of life, enough to keep the current commits, both public and silents ones. And yes, we do have some silent ones. I'm NOT talking about Seastrunk and Dyer either, just to set the record straight.
Our LB class is filled.

sorry buddy, but there is hardly even such a thing as silent commits. because there is NO point for a commitment to be silent. Why wouldn't a recruit announce it and begin to help the staff get other recruits?
For example: Take Lache (i know he isn't a silent.. you said so yourself) but i am just using him as an example.
He would NEVER silently commit to Auburn. EVER. Because the coaching staff--if they are in their right minds--would go public with it.. and Lache would start trying to aid the staff in getting some linemen and more offensive weapons.

eric - I think that we can both agree that "silent commits" is kind of a bullcrap term that recruiting junkies tend to use in order to make themselves feel better. I'd rather term it as a "verbal acceptance" of a scholarship offer by a recruit to a coach that on many occasions are agreed to be kept out of the public eye until the coaches feel that it will have the most desired effect.
For instance, I know we have at least 1 guy (not Lache or Dyer) that has "stated his intent" to the coaches, and both parties have agreed to wait until the right time to make it public in order to have the best impact on recruiting. That pretty much happens everywhere. So, call it what we want to call it, I think there is such a thing as a silent commit.
I think if we actually had a "private" verbal from Lache, our coaches have a plan to use it to Auburns' advantage, when it comes to the TIME and LOCATION. I would think JULY would be a good time to make some noise if I'm Auburn's coaching staff. Not much going on then, after 4th of July, before things get cranked up on the field for fall. Take it for what it's worth.

alot of the times the point of a silent commit is when a kid is going out of state. you cannot imagine the pressure these kids and their families get to stay in state. vile, nasty stuff. might as well avoid that for as long as possible.
