there is alot of reasons for choosing a in state school. Wining does not have to be one of them.

Distance wise, LSU is like an extra 1.5 hours away from Philadelphia, MS than Ole Miss is. So instead of 2.5 hours to Ole Miss, it's a whole 4 hours to LSU

I just hope LSU gets their visit. Les is a closer.

-Mississippi predisposition, regardless of recent seasons. Even at that, the Rebs have had LSU's number as of late. I know, 43-36.

-Oxford > Baton Rouge.

-Ole Miss has a campus that is at least as nice as LSU's. While the Vaught has absolutely nothing on Death Valley, the indoor facility and academic center are second-to-none (ok, maybe Oregon).

my point? it is not that difficult to see a MS player go to MS's major university. As an LSU student, I personally think it makes too much sense for him to end up at LSU. There is just too much going for us.

There is only one answer to why he is so high on Ole Miss, and it is also similar to the the sales pitch Auburn used with Cam Newton.

We have a winner. End of thread!!!!!

I hope he gets to LSU this coming weekend. Kinda sounds like a done deal, though.

Amazing and if we do not get him this will hurt because ----- a position of real need.

LSU fAcilities have recently been ranked 2 behind Texas. I didn't see olemoods I the top 25. I think this has nothing to do with it. The key thing is he did grow up in MS but IF winning is important to him, he won't choose ole miss. And I don't get the " owned us of late". That Arky speak. The fact is LSU has 3 SEC titles since 2001, 3 more than any school in MS.

Yea, I don't see why it would be a shock, even though Ole Piss sucks. The fact is the majority of recruits stay close to home. Oxford is a nice town too, so I could see the attraction there. Probably have LSU's number on fine bitches too.

Like I said-the vaught has absolutely nothing on DV. However, Ole Miss' indoor facility and academic center are just as new as LSU's. The consensus amongst the SECR is that Ole Miss has arguably the nicest campus in the SEC. In regardless to all-around football facilities, LSU certainly as the upper-hand.

I think Nutt's first two seasons give him leverage in recruiting this season. He could easily convince a recruit he was just missing this piece or that, and that he is the missing puzzle piece. I completely understand what you are saying about the hardware, but OM was a contender not long ago. I just think you're ignoring what kind of bullshite these coaches feed these guys. I doubt CJ has any idea the Rebs have never been to Atlanta.

I don't understand the Cam comparison.

Nutt had DMac, Jones, and Hillis in the backfield and he couldn't get to a BCS bowl.

different kids have different reasons for choosing the school they want to attend. Probably a half dozen legitimate reasons why. You never know what that reason is with many of them.

That is why I chose the winning school in my family.

I will say the missing piece for OM in 2008 and 2009 was HDN as head coach. He should have never been hired, plain and simple.

He is coming visit LSU this weekend. If he wasn't he would have committed to OM. Where was the interview done? In Oxford?

We'll know more by the middle of the week when he decides whether he's visiting LSU or not.If he does then the Ole miss writers and fans will all be singing a different tune until he signs. They'll be confident still but you'll see a lot of worried posts next weekend if he visits. If not then we should just congratulate OM for getting him.It happens. It's one kid they'll beat us on.We've got about 20 others that they'd love to have.

He really is a country country kid. That hunting and fishing will make a HUGE deal. I know that J. Daniels and a few other players used to hunt back in the day. Which players do now? They need to be his shaps.

When you have to drop other schools names in that manner, you're hurting!
