The reality is that people in Alabama and Mississippi believe they are superior to Cajun-French and Creole people in Louisiana.
Don't let them get you down. We all stand on equal footing with those poorass, ignorant, racist inbreds.

Where was the national outrage when the kid had a similar situation with Wisconsin and UMiami?

You stated it was the first time a coach left his team while his team was in the CFP, he’s actually the third coach to do it this season.

ApExTiger: that’s a great reason to pull for Miami and against Ole Piss.

I believe you hit the nail on the head. The media has always had this belief that LSU should only have goofball, yaw yaw coaches like Ed O. And now both times LSU has taken away a top rated head coach the entire medias pussy hurts about it.

The media was banking on LSU taking Sumrall at Tulane.

Just wait until they’re done playing and check back with us. Not saying that he’ll rape and pillage their roster, but he’s going to rape and pillage their roster. And with the playing longer, the time frame for them to backfill is going to be brutal

If Lane was at Alabama or Ohio State doing the same thing, he'd be hailed as a new-age genius.

Oh, I’m fine. I was just reflecting on why the Big 10 sports media and the rest of the SEC likes to run this lie that LSU is somehow corrupt and everyone else is pure. It’s about more than football.

Have you heard of Tulane or James Madison?

Their coaches took new jobs but stayed with the team through the end of their playoff run. Ole Miss, however was epically butt hurt and denied Kiffin that chance.

It's as simple as the public having a general dislike of what NIL and transfer portal-era college football is becoming, and Lane serving as (through overly-simplified portrayals of him in the media) as a personification of that vague dislike.

"Lane" is the face of all that's unseemly in the eyes of many, and gives people who don't want to think too hard about the details an easy target for their hatred. Not much more to it than that, IMO.

Correct. But also let’s see what happens if Ole Miss loses tomorrow

I think a lot of the hate around Lane and his move to LSU is driven by fear of the success he will have in Baton Rouge. All other SEC fan bases and media folks know LSU is a sleeping giant, they know Lane is brash but excellent. I think there is legit fear in the media that Lane will have a dominant tenure at LSU and they are trying to convince themselves that he will fail or that Lane wasn’t the key to Ole Miss’ success bc they are rolling without him. They are wrong. But their irrational opinions are driven by fear not hate.
