I would usually agree with this statement, but with no spring window and already loosing 26 to the portal, I think the timeline is making everyone uncomfortable with no spring window. I know I’m uncomfortable with zero QBs, one RB an no WR or OL. Plus the pieces we need on defense. Not uncomfortable with thinking the coaches can’t do it but with how many we need to get in under 2 weeks

We shouldn't temper expectations. We are going to sign a really good portal class. But what we shouldn't do is overpay for players that aren't worth what they are asking. The only miss so far is Sorsby. 5-6 million is alot of money on one player. That with his GF being at Tech makes perfect sense. This isn't a guessing game. Lane and staff have a plan. Our fanbase worries way too much about optics. Ole Miss does as well but there office people do as well. Spending 2 million on a running back is just dumb and Lane know and company know this.

I thought Austin Simmons was going elsewhere. I haven’t seen him linked to LSU.
