Coach O had his opportunity. It was fun then he almost burned this place to the ground after getting paid.
The only reason he’s seeking a coaching position is for $$ not bc he has the fire to coach again.
In June, a judge ruled that 50% of his massive buyout from LSU must go to his ex-wife. Once that ruling was made, he started making the rounds that he wanted to coach again.

I was on that boat but jumped off quickly as I observed what many others have.. can't be for sure to.be.fair but he may need to take some "steps" before he returns to football

None of us are in charge first off. This is a damn message board fun of fans giving opinions. Shoot I’m glad I’m not in charge of a major football program. The thread was supposed to be funny and sharing recruiting stories with Lane and Ed. I don’t mind Coach O coming back we need all the help we could get in recruiting. But if they don’t hire him I’m not losing any sleep or giving up my season tickets. Y’all take stuff way too serious. Just enjoy the recruiting stories bro.

Lane won't be forced to add him to his staff.
If he believes there are better options around, we should trust his judgement.
As much as we all loved 2019, O left LSU in really bad shape. I believe a lot of the college football world took note of that.

I don’t know about all but Tulane definitely cause problems for LSU. Shoot just hiring Frank as head coach would help them

That being said, Orgeron has failed spectacularly at every other opportunity.
Lane is a recovered alcoholic.
Orgeron is currently cracked out.
Hiring your pals doesn’t always go south… but if it does, it usually goes south in a big way.
We know that Orgeron needs money. We know that Orgeron is self-serving with a huge ego & weaseled his way into the HC job the last time.
You want that guy back in the building with Lane? He is a high-profile distraction & this would be a bad idea, unless you just want to see LSU and Kiffin burn IMO.
Guy is literally actively doing podcasts coked up out of his mind like… this week.

Tulane hiring Frank as HC would have helped LSU tremendously. Frank is a terrible HC and would tank Tulane. It also would have let him depart on good terms to get a promotion.
They would definitely get more talent out of NOLA, but I doubt they would win battles for guys we really want.
There's a reason no one is clamoring for Frank as anything other than a RB coach.

Nothing to forgive bro. As an administrator you’re probably right about not hiring him. But I’m not an administrator and I don’t have the money to pay Coach O either. I’m just a fan and would love to see Coach O with Richard Anderson and deuce. Would love to see him at Easton Royal house too. But again I’m a fan and the words I type are not going straight to Lane’s ear bro. Hope it happens but probably won’t happen oh well Geaux tigers and remember this is just a message board bro
