I don’t see how we can lose Cam Jackson Or Martinez.

Those are th only two OL we have at this point.

I'm wondering about Greene now too, Vol said something about a safety and maybe the coaches thought he was getting that academic scholarship or he still might but didn't really seem like a need at the time and now it's even tougher to get in

We are thin at safety in the next two years. Definitely a need.

Another reason I hope Jackson stays is that some project him as a possible offensive lineman--a definite position of need in this class.

Don’t do that.
Dumervil made be linked with Martinez.
I can see at least 1 grayshirt who’s family could afford to pay his way the first year and he wouldn’t start anyway.
After that we could conceivably interchange 5 other guys I won’t name out of respect for committed recruits.

Yep. I played in the same league Ridley was in. Which is the same league Richard Dickson played in.

I played in the MPSA against Ridley too but I thought Dickson went to Ocean Springs in Jackson?

You’re right. If everything breaks right we could finish highest ever.
But as it stands 315 is a very attainable number.
A few breaks here and there and it’s possible to go higher.

Dick played 6A at Ocean Springs. Ridley played private school ball MAIS. Not the same.

I'm hoping for a couple grayshirts because we need to ride the hype train while we are hot. You never know what next year brings.

I hate that a lot of the loopholes to 25 have been closed. Also, I don't fully understand what happens if you can only sign 25 each year. If you have 4 kids leave the program every year, that means you'll only have 84 scholarship athletes after 4 years. Is it normal to use those extra scholarships to reward a walk on to get to the 85?

He played for Trinity in Natchez and it was MPSA at the time not sure exactly when they switched to MAIS but it was just a couple of years ago.

But yea the point remains. Not even close to the same. Ridley played against a bunch of slow undersized white kids like myself.

We're not finished yet buddy. My class calculator puts us up to 326 if it happens how I think it will.

Who do you have joining? I only get to 320 with Evans, Dumervil, Webb, and Burch. I get to 324 if a miracle happened and we got Uiagaleilei.

Also know rakim jarrets mom is sick and stays in and out of the hospital. Just something to watch for...

Been meaning to bump this but this is ultimately the reason Jarrett stayed close to home. Money for hospital bills doesn’t hurt either...
