yes its easy to knock the star system papa we get it, but at the end of the day the top teams the past few years can be found at the top of the recruiting rankings too

Acording to the Bama boards Saban is having second thoughts about letting this guy get away. He is still talking to the family.

If Bama offers, it wouldn't surprise me if he switches to them.

He was Bama's for the taking but they didn't offer.

Clearly they haven't fully evaluated him yet. He's a 3-star on scout.

When it's all said and done he'll at least be a 5.5 3-star simply because of his size.

That being said, if he isn't, another Jacob Hester in the making

Bama coaching staff getting screamed at by the kids high school coaches. I think Nicky is getting a little insecure on this one.

I wonder how long this stigma is going to last.

Is every 2-star in the country the next Jacob Hester, or just the ones who go to LSU??

oh of course i agree with that jay

the majority of your studs are still going to be your 4-5 star guys

i'm saying though that your lower ranked guys can still be molded and developed into big time players

Didn't say I didn't believe you...just wanted to know if it was coming from credible sources or from a deep, dark hairy hole below your back.

So if we went for a 2 star, and he turned out like Hester, maybe we should go for a zero star and see what we can do with him???

What d'ya say, Tiger Fans???

I have to admit, when LSU recruited Rodney Reed, I thought it was just to get closer to the other West Monroe players. West Monroe was loaded and he wasn't even the best o-lineman on that team. Even though I knew he was a great kid, I was disgusted that they wasted a schollie on him. I had seen every one of his high school games and he never was dominant the way i felt an LSU recruit should have been. He turned out solid after all. Coaches know.
