How is Webb and Dumervil not evidence of O’s ability to close.
You’ve went from doubting O’s recruiting strategy to now doubting his ability to close. All because he lost 2 out of state players at a position of minor need.
Step away from the ledge dude

Don't think you should group Burch in with them.
No me either. Burch stayed quiet and played basically no games as far as I could tell

Les was gold with Moms.

I’ve heard from my Texas source that Evans is a total locker room cancer

The most ironic thing about this is they tried to get Rak to sign due to being nervous about his "games" yet they let Burton, Burch, and now probably Evans all punk them despite their word.
So what you are saying is they should not pursue the best kids in the nation even when they tell them they want to play for LSU?
How does that work
Posted on 12/20/19 at 5:27 pm to J2thaROC
When you start processing other kids for higher rank kids and then the kids that was a silent commit don’t hold up their end of the bargain then you my friend have gotten played. When two committed players tell you that they are 100% committed and then on ESD sign with another team then you my friend got played. It’s not like we had backups ready to commit after they signed some where else. Just face it we got played. Not saying it couldn’t happen to any other team but it did happen with us. I still think this is one of the best class top to bottom.

Then LSU should leak it.

It’s improbable to think we could do this but I’m almost to the point that LSU should take the stance Clemson does; you commit and you’re committed. No more visits. Now they get to do that bc the ACC is garbage, but I would love for that to happen. What are the analytics on that for Clemson I wonder...did they lose anyone in this year’s recruiting cycle?

No thanks. Then we wouldn't be able to back off guys for various reasons.

I don’t know if that’s their stance. Seemingly they tell kids “You are committed. No more visits.” I think they probably leave a massive grey area for processing kids lol.

Ultimately LSU will always have nice backup options
A few years ago they got stuck with empty slots & a guy like Terrence Alexander
They’ve already learned from that.
People keep treating February signees like second rate players because they don’t sign early
it’s weird.

Negative.
The two receivers we lost out on was BECAUSE we were in a shape to where we could call them out on their games. We told Rakim to sign or we were moving on. We didn’t get into a bidding war over Burton. Why? Because receiver was not a “need” position for this class. We were able to stop Rakim’s games AND to not have to get in a bidding war for Burton. Would it have been nice to get these two? Sure. But neither were a necessity to this class.
The only one that “hurt” was Burch who I still believe wants to sign with LSU but mamma is pulling the strings as of now.

The class is excellent but they've lost tons of recruiting momentum at the end.
By not signing two out of state players that STAYED AT HOME?
You do realize Bama thought they had Rakim too right? They thought they were going to take him from us. So did they also lose recruiting momentum?
Georgia whiffed on some of the top recruits they were after as well. One of those recruits signed with us BTW.

Do you need to take reading comprehension classes? I'm talking about the consistency of this staff getting punked by the recruits at the end of every recruiting cycle. It has been a bad habit lately and this class is much worse than the ones in the past because they struck out on 4 blue chip recruits that LSU should've had in their bag. That's elite players that are difference makers. That's losing momentum in recruiting it doesn't matter how you want to spin it. Similar to Surtain's situation where nobody had a shot and he punks LSU's staff. The other coaches in SEC are dirty recruiting LSU and doing a good job with it.
You really can’t count Surtain in this. LSU was not trending upwards at the time he signed.
So who else you got that the staff missed on? Sopsher? Looks like we came out ahead on that one. He wasn’t worth the trouble. He’s lazy and will never amount to shite in football.
Perhaps these coaches know who is worth “fighting for” and who isn’t.

Yeah it's not that they lost them it's that the backup options weren't ready to sign

They got joe burrow and Cole Tracy with those “empty spots” if I remember correctly.

If Clemson had a 4 star top 250 that visited another school they would pull their offer because they have to look strong but I highly doubt that if they had a 5 star number 1 QB that visited another school they would pass up that type of talent.
