Theriot, Fontenot, Hawpe, and Tallet all had nice major league careers.

Jeremy Witten, who was the punter for the football team, had a key home run.

We were being outhit 12-4 going to the bottom of the 8th.

2000 was our second walk off CWS title, naturally following the Warren Morris walk off in 1996.

Stanford's script uniforms had a open loop "a" making it read Stunford - how appopriate.

LSU fans in LF were giving the Stunford OF the business after Witten's HR at the 6:30 mark.

Ryan Theriot had a similar slide into home for the world series winning run for the 2012 SF Giants.

Skip's teams had moxie. I guess today's slang is swag. His teams always had confidence.

No, this was the catch from that game.

Two out bases loaded shot down the third base line, but Barbier caught it and gunned down the batter at first by a fraction of a second.

Stanford would have blown the game open if not for that play. But it ended the sixth so nobody remembers it.

I remember Barbier could have tried to tag third or go for the throw for that final out. Many players may have hesitated a split second deciding which to go to.

Barbier went straight for the long throw and gunned it on the money.

I love that video. Have watched it several times over the last two years with my 9yo that plays some third.

I no shite watched this exact video last night, and still watching it one night later still gives me chills, especially watching Cresse's face when he's running toward first

I absolutely love watching theses videos. I have always said it, but there is something about playoff baseball at any level. The emotion and intensity hinges on every pitch. Can't wait to break in the new Rosenblatt this year.
