If you're going to argue, at least use things that I actually say, because I most certainly did not say that.

We're easily a Top10 team. If you want to complain that we're not a Top5 team, then go at it. But to act like we don't even deserve to be ranked and our coaches are incompetent is silly. It is common knowledge and widely accepted that we are a Top10 team and have a Top15 coaching staff. I'm sorry if you don't see that, I genuinely recommend getting glasses though in that case. Do we have our issues? Certainly. And from someone has seen just about every "major" team in the NCAA play this year (not just LSU), we have significantly less issues than 110 other teams in college football.

I am amazaed at how much fire Les and Crowton talk there has been...Losing one of the two next games justifies all the ongoing concerns based on the talent they have.

So you're amazed at the criticism, but one more loss justifies it.

Actually, I think 3 losses and finishing 3rd in the Division = failure based on the talent.

+1

2nd is legit, especially with our circumstances (QB, new DC, schedule). Third in the West is totally unacceptable. At 8-4, someone needs to lose a job.

before the dumbass media realized ole miss was a complete fake. Losing to would be inexcusable

FWIW, I picked us tied for first with Bama going to the SEC title game on a tiebreaker. I guess I was wrong.

That said, it's pretty silly to get all rattled by a weak performance against LaTech. It's one of those games that only matters if you lose. Chillax... The Ole Miss game will help tell the story of the 2009 LSU football season, not the LaTech game.

right on, right on. The answer is, is this season will not be a failure if we win the NC next year with our damn fine QB JJ. However, I agree with Hot Carl, that it is in Lee's best interest to transfer.

The team should. No emotion is all on Miles.

Alabama hangover

Bama didn't look hungover and pounded a better team ON THE ROAD.

3. Jordan Jefferson

If they don't give a shite against Tech, then play sheperd.

This is NOT the only time this has happened this year.

Fair point, but Bama still has a national title berth on the line.

LSU has a Capital One or Cotton Bowl berth on the line. Circumstances are definitely different for Bama and LSU following our game with them.

My main point is there's no reason to get all dramatic about a game that doesn't matter. Let's see what happens against Ole Miss. That one matters.

A offense that has 5 star players across the board should NOT be ranked 109 in offense.

With Jordan Jefferson playing 100% the next two games, LSU wins. If J. Jefferson played the full game against ala., LSU wins that gamee also!

So just because we don't have a NC on the line its ok to come out and play horrible against a team we should beat by 35?????

Our offense is very inconsistent and I'm not happy with it either. I agree, the offense has to get better

But FWIW...

Terrance Tolliver and Keiland Williams are the only 5-star players that we have starting on the offensive side of the ball (and KW is only starting due to injury). And the only other two 5-star players we have on offense are RS and Randle, who are both true freshman.

To the original poster: Outstanding pics. With LSU's current talent the team should not have a any more than 3 loses in the regular season. Anything more will be a failure.

Excuses for what? I don't follow...

This criticism has validity...

Our offense is very inconsistent and I am not pleased with the production we're getting on that side of the ball. That said, let's see how the season plays out. If we win our next two games it will have been a tremendously successful 2009 season.

This criticism does not have validity...

quote:

Our offense sucks, our coaching staff is incompetent, and we are slowly but surely slipping into mediocrity. We WILL lose to Ole Miss and Auburn.

That's my only point.

yeah and when LSU had a national title on the line (in 2007) we lost to kentucky, then we got back in it with magic...and lost to arkansas with a national title on the line

Cant say until we've played the next two games.

Offense has been a big disappointment this year.

we've played 2 games that matter (aka, 2 games against not bad teams) and we lost both

with the non-bad teams, we did struggle to beat UW, vandy, Moo state, and tech
