I'm worried about our DL.

That's why I asked the Blue question. Maybe he is close to Blue or his family. There is a lot of people who post here who has very good insider info.

isn't he 6'2 240? that's undersized?
by looking at him id say 240 is a stretch....not sure, but at the very least he could move to will or sam. I may or may not be trying to trick myself into thinking he will be back next year

I think Rasco will be a stud and Hunter should be really good as well. Freak is having a really good year, should be lights out next year. We've recruited enough talent that someone should step up, seems like they always do. LB and DB's gained valuable expirience this year. If Mettenberger plays more like he did vs Bama, offense should be special.

i think it will be fine, it may not be a strength but it will absolutely be serviceable. different guys step up every year so im counting on that to continue next year

the 6'2 is a stretch IMO, I'd be a bit surprised if he checked in at 6'1".

In regards to Blue, I have a few friends who go to LSU and are close to Blue, I've never heard it directly from his mouth but they have. It wasn't one of those "I'm leaving, it's a forgone conclusion," but more like a "I'm giving it serious consideration, will wait and see what scouts think," I may be the only one, but as a big fan of Blue, I think going pro if given a 2-4 round grade would be a smart decision coming off of injury. Which from my understanding is the reason he is considering it as well as the $$ that will follows.
As a side note, I think college football players will seriously consider leaving early more often in the the near future. Mainly RBs, which I think the Lattimore injury sent shockwaves through CFB. Plyaers do not want to miss out on thier NFL dreams, and let's be real their main goal is to make it to the league. Not saying I would be against Blue coming back, but I am rooting for him to have a solid career.

he's not undersized, it's just that MLB's usually don't go first round unless they are physical monsters or run like the wind. Willis, Mcclain, Hightower, Kuechly are the only ones I can recall recently...2 fit one mold and 2 fit the other. Minter reminds me more of a Demeco Ryans, while he was the first pick in the second round it seems MLB is a less valued position now than it was then

Why are y'all listing Magee as a rb?
Posted on 11/7/12 at 2:59 pm to Riseupfromtherubble
I would say there is almost next to no chance that happens. He isn't going to pass up Odell, Landry, and the new JUCO standout Leslie. Doubtful he passes Boone either.

This, it wont be as good but even if Logan decides to leave look for someone to step up like Quentin Thomas. Thomas could be a lot like Logan, nobody knows about him then bursts onto scene.
I feel like one o the freshman DEs will step up too, even if it's pass role only like Neal.

I'm all for guys going pro early. To me that sends a good message about LSU, gets us good press when a bunch of LSU guys are drafted, but more importantly, because it's their life, the point of college for most of us is to get a good job, if a RB will be drafted, he might as well go. He's not going to improve his draft stock.

I like the positive thinking on recruiting. Law of attraction
I sometimes forget how huge Rivers is at 6'7 235.
TBH, unless Mett plays Bamaesque for the rest of the year, I think Rivers will give him some competition this offseason.
That is a complete shot in the dark so have mercy on me ranters.
