I tried to leave the game from our SEZ seats. Walked down to gate and the girlfriend said from top of that first ramp inside stadium, "COME BACK for one more series. We can win this game."
I got back to my seat and this catch happened.

She's smarter than me.

There were arguably 3 or 4 catches made by OBJ/Juice during Mett's tenure that he should have paid them for, because they should have been interceptions.

That isn't one. That one is inarguable. Juice just fricking took that ball, "No sir. Not today. Not on my watch."

Is there a case that Landry and OBJ at LSU was the greatest WR tandem in history college or pro???

IDK about that - I recall Stallworth and Swann on the same team in the 1970s.

However, member when Juice, as a freshman, decleated McCalebb on 2 KO returns?

I member.

I'm not sure if this is the first or second, but they both looked a lot like this.

Just like McElroy at aTm, I was glad when McCalebb used up his eligibility. He always had good games against us. Something about those Irish RBs.

I agree! That touchdown catch was probably the most amazing catch I think I've ever seen. He had to jump and twist/rotate backwards to catch it one handed, while sprawled out. It was a catch that rates right up there with OBJ's one-handed grab against the Cowboys.

This one was pretty good too..
I don't think we can lump Mett in with the "good" QBs in LSU history. The WRs were just so incredible.

This one was more impressive IMO.

Yep, I was thinking of them too...like JL and OBJ they were in the same draft class...

Their numbers were nothing like OBJ and JL but it was a different era

Surprised someone hasn't posted that the OP's posted catch was a 4th and long in the last minute of the game with us trailing - we lose that game if Landry doesn't make that catch. That adds at least 2x the importance and clutch versus all others.

As good as that team was, across the board, Swann and Stallworth might have been the Steelers' best position group on offense.

That remains the greatest reception I've ever seen. The stadium lost its collective mind after that catch. It was an amazing moment in person.

Anyone saying 2012 catch versus Arky was better is objectively wrong.

Juice made a few catches in the UGA game that year that were insane.

Love Hamilton and Jones watched them as freshmen however, Landrys' play overall was absolutely amazing! His kick coverage destroyed Aurburn and those catches - WOW!!
