He’s wide open. He gets at least four yards.

The play needs to be seen as a gif and not as a still pic. JD had just cleared the end when this was taken, Also great pic of the OPI

We should have gone for it that complete drive, 1st 2nd & 3rd then we might not have to go on 4th. Nabors was on the sidelines for I believe 2 of the downs? I didn't understand that series at all

Another good point. Malik Nabors should have been on the field. A double coverage on him may have opened up for a play and first down. Good grief..

If JD had not hesitated and just threw the ball when the head turned the safety would have never made it in time. Damn,.

can you play it longer? db looked to be breaking on the wr. he looks open but i still think it was a terrible call

Deceiving video, you don't know if jd5 can see around D.L until it was too late. Playcalling on 1st down was questionable

Oof I bet they throw the flag for OPI if he completes it.

Yes the db is breaking, that’s how the play is designed. The DB also was breaking on the bama play last year. If the ball is thrown to the sideline it’s impossible to defend without going through the WR

I hated the 2pt conversion call against bama. I loved that it worked but the timing and execution had to be perfect.
3rd and 5 and with how successful we had been all night offensively i prefer JD to drop back and be able to scan the entire field.

Absolutely go for it. OM was scoring we weren’t stopping them. Also gives us more time for final drive

You gotta punt, and pray your D can get a stop. We punted them to the 12. We just didn't deserve to win if you can't get a stop there.

Did they really think 30 yards of field position was going to make a difference considering Ole Miss was making its way through the defense like Swiss cheese?
And he is supposedly using analytics. Makes no sense.

I think we should adopt the old Hal Mumme philosophy he had at UK 96-99. Almost never punt.
The defense and offense are massively mismatched. You have better odds taking a chance at 4th-7 than punting against a team like Ole Miss

Also, pretty sure to that point the offense was averaging more than 7 yds per play.
Kelly saying it wasn't even a decision in his mind is telling.

analytics must not take into account how the game is going to decide to punt in that situation
