Next year we’ll be better because it will be hard to be worse

And we’ll say “that’s progress, see year 2 in the system, they’re learning” and the. We’ll lose our QB and say “well we had a new starter” and before you know it we’ll be 4 years in without ever fielding a top 25 offense.

Why do people have to ruin good threads? Let's celebrate a good pick up

And what evidence do you have that I dislike the football coach here? Because I'm critical?

Has it ever occurred to you that some can separate their personal feelings from a person's job performance or his qualifications for that job?

On here, criticism = hate. It's not just you, it's plenty of others as well that think that way.

Add to that, I haven't even been particularly critical of him as of late.

I love how you've already played this fantasy out in your head

Is that the goal now? A top 25 offense?

It Should be for the OC. Like idk how else you want to judge an OC’s success than offensive output. This “we need to control clock and blah blah fricking blah” we need thenoffense to score points. The best thing you can do for a defense is give them lead they can’t blow.

And I’ve seen this play out over and over and over and over again with Les. So far the only difference I’ve seen is that when we couldn’t pass under Les he just passed less. Under O we at least keep trying to pass.

If we have a 130th ranked offense and win a NC I’d be happy, but I wouldnt Want to keep the OC

One mental lapse (Florida) and one set of incompetent referees (A&M) away from 11-1, and "it will be hard to be worse"? Immature moron.

That's sad that you think a top 25 offense is an unreasonable expectation. And you call others negative.

I don't know about you but I expect great things from this coaching staff. The football coach says we're going to get an offense we've never seen before and I think we will.

“ why did we get rid of miles”

Because he had loss 10 games in his last two years and four games. And that was determined to be not the LSU football we had grown to know. Add in the fact that we couldn’t seem to find consistently good quarterbacks or have an adequate passing game. Final nail, we couldn’t win the west or beat Bama.

I get your point though. It isn’t wrong to have expected almost 3 years after the change more than 9-3, 5-3, the 10th best O in the SEC, and being owned by Bama more than in an any 3 yr period in the series I can recall in the last 20 yrs.

The firing wasn’t the problem. Who we got to replace him was and remains the problem and will continue to be the problem until we get a good O, best Bama, and win the west. imo

Sure, and I guess we were wrong about Gunner Kiel, Erick Fowler, Torshiro Davis, and on and on.

Yeah, CLEARLY there is no reason to reserve our excitement until players actually sign.

You would think one would lead to another.

I dont Care if we aren’t very efficient if we score a lot of points, but it’s really hard to do if you aren’t efficient.

As a matter of fact Clemson, Ou and alabama are all top 3 in Effeciency and top 4 scoring.

Not necessarily. It doesn't hurt though.

Hell many of the teams in the top 25 for offense are "scrubs" as you like to put it.

It would be cool, but I'm not concerned about offensive rankings in the top ten.

We definitely need to improve which I feel is imminant with a veteran QB and some quality RBs incoming

Same as always. Recruit great, then underperform when it comes time for the real games
