You still get an F for failure to follow 2nd grade-level directions.

Yes.

Now your turn,

If we finish 8-4, will you be willing to accept that he deserves to be fired?

Silly question, but Yes.

Of course a good record keeps him on, just like his good record here over 5 years has him highly paid and still the coach.
A lot of us simply don't like the way the team plays under Les and don't believe he gets the most out of what's available to him.

Personally I want him gone. He should go no worse than 10-2. I would WANT him back if we went 11-1. We have to beat either FLA or BAMA this year.

For the sake of fairness, The Godfather beat you to this question on page one.

My answer was yes. I later explained that in my opinion, CLM needs to produce at least 9 wins- which most sane people would consider a success with our youth and this schedule- to secure his return.

yes, even at 9-3 with this year's schedule. It is brutal.

Yes, he could stay as far as I am concerned, but 9-3 I would prefer he go. 8-4 must leave

We aren't going to fire him at 8-4 either, and it would be hard to argue, based on verifiable facts, that he would deserve to be fired at 8-4 or 8-5 after the bowl. I for one would know that he wasn't the right coach for the program, but I have "known" that for a long time.
Coaches aren't fired just b/c everybody knows they should be. They're fired when they stop winning. That's why you should be very careful in hiring and in granting extensions, unless you are Skip Bertman, of course.

I agree with this but it has only happened once in 5 years and there were extenuating circumstances. That's why I still support the coaching staff. Many around here act like we have had multiple loosing SEC records. We have not.

yes, but i wouldnt offer an extension until i see what happens during the season of 2011...and if i were negotiating his terms he would be paid far les... pardon the pun...

i would make him sign an incentives deal...and if he didnt sign id say see yah! cause he needs incentive more then anyone...after he won the title he thought he didnt have to work anymore...now people are on him and he's got a fire in his butt again...i personally dont want a coach like that...

Fired after 7 and 6 win seasons respectively. In big-time college football, winning only 7 games is as good as having a losing record.
