Question - If there is no third party giving an account, how did the police come up with the 4 individuals from the team?
The 4 victims named them. If they don't have a 3rd party step forward with a story this is going to be really hard for BRPD to throw charges at someone.

Bottom line is these guys should not be fighting except in self-defense and even then shouldn't escalate situations.
Before you go off on me for that, what do you think Les Miles himself thinks about them fighting?

I think what they're trying to convey is that there are no independent 3rd party witnesses. BRPD said in their press conference that the witnesses so far all had ties to one side or the other.

No one knows for sure but SGT. Stone was quoted as saying the 4 victims were initially treated for minor injuries.
initially a REPORTER stated the COPS SAID all four left the hospital with minor injuries

I guess hospital records will come into play. Will be interesting to see what comes out of those reports regarding injuries noted immediately after the fight versus what injuries were reported in the following days.

WAFB story this morning stated that all four players denied basically everything. Lets see... four beat up non football players, no beat up football players, and nobody knew anything. I would suspect Miles knows now he has some dishonorable folks on his squad - not to mention incredibly stupid!

a bone scan would need to be ordered to substantiate how old the fracture is, I'm sure the victims atty's will do that
Hida scan

Also fractured vertebrae is not a minor injury, imo.
What if they are hairline fractures?
Do you know the extent of the injuries?

This cat has been in a burglary, he's a marine, and been kicked out of High school. I'd like to see his prior meds to clarify if this is a traumatic injury over something from his colorful past.
Wow, so now he is a burglar and was kicked out of high school. His injury was from earlier and he played it off as if it just occurred. Why don't you go all out and say no one hit him? He just hurt himself in the bathroom and lied about the whole thing. Along with the other 3 injured people. Oh yeah and he likes to kick babies.

It's time for BRPD to either shite or get off the pot. If you have 2 parties giving 2 different stories with no 3rd party witness, it's time to pull the plug on the investigation.
I agree. Bar fight = who cares. Sounds like a butthurt marine got his arse beat down for being a dick like they are known to do. Nothing more.

I would suspect that the majority of people that pic fights with superior athletes receive the most damage.
On another note, has anyone heard that Lowery has a relative in the DAs office? One of my friends is trying to feed me "inside info" but I think its all BS.

Hey guys. Has anyone mentioned this possibility:
The 4 injured beat themselves up?

They can't figure this out and we wonder why they can't at least slow down the murder rate in the city. They look like a bunch of bumbling fools.

Disagree. They are being extra cautious.
High profile case. Want to get everything right.

Gotta prove the fracture was a result of the fight first
That is what the court room is for. The police don't need to PROVE anything. Evidence of a crime supports arrest.

Extremely ignorant
Ok so let me get this straight. You're saying that it's ignorant to refrain from honking my horn at a group of football players much bigger and stronger than me (and outnumber me) and then proceed to yell at them in a parking lot out of anger?
Are you fricking kidding me?

Clearly, football players are not to be honked at.
What was I thinking?

So Andrew was unconscious at some point; that is the hook to attempt to get this to 2nd degree.
The potential ah-ha here is that JJ may in fact be still tied to a 2nd degree assault.
That "just me" guy had a nice deductive reasoning thread a couple of days ago saying that JJ probably was not the head kicker, so probably wouldn't get tied to 2nd degree battery felony.
But, if there is one "victim" with 3 fractured vertebrae *and* another that was knocked unconscious, then that'd explain why 2 of the 4 LSU football players are still under threat of the 2nd degree charge.
Hmmmmm.
Also, for you dolts who keep saying it was "just a bar fight", does that mean if a guy gets paralized in a bar fight it doesn't count? Or killed in a bar fight? The result of this bar fight was at least one serious injury, so even the sorry BRPD know they have to do due diligence to avoid being labeled as part of Team Sweep. They still have a job to do, in between donut breaks.
