Question - If there is no third party giving an account, how did the police come up with the 4 individuals from the team?
The 4 victims named them. If they don't have a 3rd party step forward with a story this is going to be really hard for BRPD to throw charges at someone.

Yeah because refraining from acting like an a-hole to somebody I don't know out in the world is real immature.
Especially to somebody much bigger and stronger than me.

Moral of this whole story: don't honk your horn and yell at the LSU football team, especially when there's 50 of them and 2 of your group and you are a lot smaller and weaker than them.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Moral of the whole story: if you honk your horn politely at 50 LSU football players, and they try to physically extract you from your vehicle, if you fear for your life, pull out your gun and shoot whoever is trying to hurt you. You will be totally justified in the eyes of the law for protecting your safety.
Actually, I don't think it's certain that anyone was pulled out of a vehicle. But, in the event that that did happen, I would agree with you.
Regards to the wife my friend.

There is a story that wing got friendly with the marine's girl. they got into a scuffle, the marine was kicked out of shady's. he hung around in the parking lot waiting for wing to leave. When wing came out, he sucker punched wing. the players in the parking lot went to defend wing and the marine and his three buds threw down with four lsu players.
don't know if true, just another story to consider. if the police have this story and the polite honking story, which one is believed?

quote:Not really. Grabbing a guy around the neck to pull him off somebody, shoving a guy who falls down wrong, even a punch that catches his jaw just wrong; any or all of those (and many more possibilities) could result in fractured vertebrae. It's yet another example of media sources running with incomplete information (nature of the fractures, which vertebrae, etc.) to make a situation sound as dramatic as possible to spur as much ignorance, rumormongering and close-minded shitslinging as possible. In other words, what passes for "debate" and "discussion" in internet idiot-dens like this one.
The three fractured vertebrae is kind of hard to explain away though.

Not true. My grandmother and I got attacked by a group of about 15-20 people. They shattered my front window. I brought my baseball bat outside and sat on my front porch in case they came back. The police officer tried to charge me with assault.

Said girl reportedly met with Miles and told him what happened. It leans more towards her asking a player for help or the LSU heroes stepping in to rescue her. That is, if she did indeed speak with Les Miles.

Doesn't matter who's bigger or stronger. If this started as a result of a horn honk, it doesn't say much at all for the character or integrity of the players involved.. Which is why I think there's more to the story than just some guys getting honked at in a parking lot.
I mean..C'mon.. You think the LSU football team goes out and LOOKS for shite to start?

Somewhat similar to what I heard. But the girl was both JJ ex and the marines ex. Except the marine was pushing the girl and the players stepped in which is when he punched wing and got thrown out. Then they waited on the players outside.
If you actually believe they were dragged out of their cars for honking "politely" you need to be removed from society for good.

if true, then the party who the police arrest very well could be the "victim".

1 or 2 of the players will get charged with 2nd degree battery. the remaining players of the group of 4 may get charged with simple battery at most.
The marine and maybe another knucklehead will *also* get charged with simple battery.
The 2nd degree charges will get pleaded down to simple battery and maybe some anger mgmt classes, etc., paying court fees, etc.
But, the end result is at least multiple game suspensions for the kids charged with 2nd degree (even if it is pleaded down) and maybe a game or two for anyone originally charged with simple battery.
one thing I'd bet on: JJ is at least out against Oregon.

Isn't it obvious to everyone on both sides of this debate that the felon/marine/dropout was looking for trouble due to a girl and SINCE he has such an emotional/not rational connection here that it is most likely him who threw the first punch. He was kicked out of the bar twice! shite goes down when the players try are trying to leave???
And isn't it possible that he will be the one arrested. IF it is true he told police he was never in the bar and IF it is true that he got thrown out twice. Isn't that a crime?
It has been alleged that he was an employee of the bar. Once the police learned of that couldn't supposedly nonconnected witnesses then be discovered to be actually friends of the marine/felon? Couldn't that be why it looked like arrest might be coming and now more investigation is in order???
