Don't forget that Jayden's running ability does help our overall run game. When defenses drop 1 or 2 spy's on the QB it makes short yardage runs easier since they linebackers can't bust through the run gaps. Although it will come with the downside of reducing the chance of explosive running plays. Once our interior oline gets better at run blocking we should see a large increase in 3-5yd run plays up the middle since the linebackers can't crash the line on RPROs while spying the QB. We need to play more RPROs than we do.

Bama Hurts vs OU Hurts. It's possible to make a leap later in your collegiate career.

Go back and watch 2018 Joe Burrow and compare it to 2019. Year two for Jayden would be great. Plus I like how our offense this year is developing. We are showcasing his legs and how much he can kill your defense. When Jayden develops his passing the teams on the back half of the schedule will be more worried about his legs. Then the Boutte show will begin. Then headed into next year Jayden will be a TRUE dual threat QB like Joe was.
Ahem. Is anyone going to tell him?
JD is the best QB for LSU at this time but, he will never be a "Joe Burrow".

The throws he can’t make are the throws he has never made and will never make. He would have known how to throw them in middle school if he could. Nevertheless he is the best qb we have

A lot of you guys have made great comments. It's true he needs to learn to have a better pass to the Running backs. Last game I saw improvement in that area. His passes to the Running backs in the Florida state game were horrible. Cory Mcelroy nailed it. He said that when Daniels decides to run that he tucks the ball in and starts running without looking down the field for the receivers to get open. He has to have the ball ready to throw downfield unless he is about to get tackled. Also remember this point, Receivers have to break their routes and come back to the Qb when they see he is in trouble. Justin Jefferson and Chase did this extremely well.

I dnt see him entering draft. He needs to work on a few thing in passing game. Hopefully he comes back to LSU 1 more yr like Burrow did I think it would help him alot. Not saying he will be anything close to Joe just needs another year.

As a freshman Daniels outdueled Justin Hebert when the Ducks were the #6 team giving them one of their 2 losses.
Daniels' stat line: 22/32 408yds 3 TDs and 0 INTs.

He demonstrated nice touch on his deep throws. He still needs work on his timing routes, but if he was able to do this as a freshman he absolutely can be a good passer here once he gets comfortable.
