Clemson won?
Clemson had all the offense weapons to win and were wearing Alabama's defense down with fast penalty free play. Except for two big blown pass coverages and bad kickoff coverage Clemson would have won.
One last thing that was evidence of Ala's unending influence is the official who knows the half is coming to a close but fails to stop clock when Clemson clearly got a first down and forced Clemson to use their last time out thereby forcing Clemson to attempt a longer field goal which they ultimately missed. But had they had that timeout they would have had time for one more pass to sidelines and get ball closer.
And with the SEC headquarters in Birmingham we know this official will not get sanctioned .
Our only hope is for Saban to retire, allow Texas to dump millions into Saban's bank account or Saban and Ala. players just get bored winning NC's.

When history of football is written, LSU will gain a unique place. It will be mentioned as the team that thought football championships could be won without a solid QB but an excess of talent on every other position.

I am a CLM supporter but admittedly, it's getting harder & harder to stay in his corner. One situation jumped out at me last nite in this regards. Right after Clemson had scored to bring them within 4...I think ...with around 4 minutes to go, bama at its own 20'ish, there was a time out & the entire offense circled around LK. Saban was literally on the outside of the circle listening in. Play called, huddle broke & LK called a swing/in motion pass to Howard that he broke, once again, for long yardage & basically locking up the game. In that situation, CLM would have run LF off tackle 3 times, punted, and hoped his defense could hang on. There is literally no way that CLM does not make the call under that game situation. Saban let his OC make the call that wrapped up the game.

If LSU had a qb that performed like Watson did and still lost 45-40 the reaction would be the same. Fire Miles.
No. Just....no. Nothing about the way Clemson played resembled LSU. Except that they lost? Two teams couldn't look more different losing than LSU vs bama and Clemson last night.

You missed my point. My point is that they lost. If LSU loses no matter in what way people are going to complain. LSU lost to Georgia in 2013 and Mett threw it all over the place and the defense let them down and people still wanted to fire Les. Fans hate losing plain and simple. Granted LSU fans hate winning sometimes too because they don't like the coach but that is a whole new argument.
