I agree with you, and I hope so. The question is-will they?

Regardless the outcome!
Nick will get his monthly check on December 1st of $500,000.00.
And Less will get his monthly check on December 1st of $ 350,000.00.
They thank you all for your concern!

I agree with this as well. No one actually believes that CLM is a bad coach. I do not. I have been severely critical of many of his decisions, and rightfully so. I think he and the program were screwed to the max by having to play and beat 'Bama twice to be NC when 'Bama had to do it once. Everyone who supported that re-match should hang his head in disgrace, but such people have no shame. Had he won that NC, then what happened last night and in '12 would be at least palatable. That seriously impaired LSU's recruiting.
That said, his teams fold under pressure in games against 'Bama. Period. End of story. He has to beat that team or LSU will not likely ever get out of the SEC west.

They aren't paid bi-weekly? Also, they have shite-hot money managers if that's their monthly take home.

LSU will be second to Alabama as long as Saban is there and Miles is here. This has been obvious since 2008. A victory here or there will happen though.
Why is this so hard for most LSU fans to understand?
LSU has to hope that in the 16 percent of games won vs Bama that LSU can win the SEC and go to the playoffs.

That would be an easier sell if not for the title of the thread:
In case you forgot "Alabama has killed us as a championship calibre program..."
You seem to have calmed down since when you came up with the title. Good on you.

I was calm, cool, and sober when I wrote it, and I stand by it. You can't call yourself championship caliber when you're second (at best) in your division. That's just a fact. You should be giving me kudos for hanging on so long after 1/9. Having lost three in a row since, and watching Bama add another title since, there simply isn't any room for doubt. I don't know you. I don't know how you mind works. I won't presume to judge your ability to reason and process information. But you might want to consider whether you're viewing my post as an adult or as a fanatic.

We are not even 2nd in our division. Right now we are fighting to be in the upper half of our division for the 3rd year in a row

I'd still say we're the second best program (but Auburn may be). So we're two or three.

I think you failed to manage your expectations of our season given the amount of freshmen we have playing. We honestly could have pulled it off last night but had some bad luck..bad calls, etc. This melt down is unwarranted. Agree to disagree.
Cry on.
Cry on.

Very well said and I don't know how anybody can ignore the reality of the LSU program right now.
I wouldn't give Les another raise or extension until he wins another natty. He should have until the end of his contract to deliver or he's gone at the end.

So you want to ban me for saying our dream of paying Saban back for 1/9 is dead?
No, no, no. I thought it was hilarious. In the context of winning championships, this team has serious flaws. I do not mean just 2014, I mean the program in general especially on the offensive side of the ball. This is clear and indisputable. Now, if being a winning program only is what matters, then mission accomplished. I think a large proportion of the fan base would like to see more. This program has not been a serious contender in several years PRIMARILY because the offense is awful. Not much more to say about it than that.
I hope this changes, but have no reason to think that it will.

Nutty Sunshine Pumpers out in force after every loss with their "Name Calling" and telling everybody not to express opinions if it's different their own biased ones.

The fact that this is 86% upvoted and only one response to it tells you what a very great post it is.
People need to understand where LSU is at with their coaching staff and caliber of the program.

It dawned on me last night, and it's as simple as that. We will remain a tough game that they can use to pad their resume, but we will not beat them when it counts while their current staff is in place. When they're down, we'll be worse, or Auburn will be good. When we're good, they'll be better. We are a 9-10 win program that will rarely take home any hardware. Blame CLM, Cam (seriously, wtf does he do during practice), or the QB. Doesn't matter. We are Georgia with a soon to be 8 year-old national title and a dream season that ended in ruin (because of Bama). We were the class of the division a few years ago, now we're in the fight of our lives for second place.
An unsportsmanlike conduct penalty cost us the game, nothing else.

I agree, bama is not an elite team this year, and LSU was playing a lot better leading into last nights game, yet they still lost. the fact is, outside of Zach Mettenberger, les miles hasn't signed or developed a good qb, during his tenure at LSU.
Posted on 11/9/14 at 6:50 pm to Navytiger74
bama was playing to win when they went down 13-10 with 50 seconds left. went right down the field and tied it up.
then had perfect plays drawn up in OT. they outcoached LSU in OT
