It’s not really adding much to the overall experience other than the couple hundred field level seats

Those field level seats that will make my seats that I've had since 2009 no longer be front row!

Going from bleachers to all chairbacks would lower the number of tickets that can be sold as season tickets.

I think we need to spend our dollars on facilities that help the players develop, etc and NIL and NOT on making Alex Box some kind of fancy entertainment venue. And I speak as a season ticket holder.

Get rid of the fricking bleachers for chair backs Add covering all the way down the lines Build party decks in the outfield with lounge areas. Connect them with the concourse behind the first and third baselines. Make it to where you can walk all the way around the park if you want. You couldn’t pay me to sit in the outfield at the box. For the love of god, get better concessions

I second this motion. Somebody Text Woody and tell him to get on it if he wants the checks to keep flowing.

Allow an area for fans to bring in coolers and drink for free. That’s the only upgrade needed. Bleacher or chair back should be the last on the list of things needed. Bring a cushion if it’s that uncomfortable.

The new Box was built simply to provide program benefactors with a club and suites. In LSU fashion, they targeted the least amount of fan experiences possible, all of them at the highest end, and left the rest alone. Dragging bleachers from the old Box to the new one tells the story. The unfinished suites at opening and the hefty bag in center are the rest of the story.

Funny thing about the hefty bag, they got a redo the next season because it was damaged by wind and they put the same thing back there.

The New Box was built at a bad time coming off the recession. Built cheap and tried to keep too much of the old Box charm.

While they cut a lot of corners, it was also fairly cheaply designed. I remember them having blank cavities for additional suites down the road and then having to move the lights because they didn’t take into account glare on the field. This was all under the direction of skip that obv didn’t have the foresight to think past what was in front of his two feet.

It’s a joke. We didn’t win anything so burn it all and end the baseball program.

I posted this a couple weeks ago.... One of the head LSU guys at the stadium diring the game with Mississippi.... Told me that the plan is to extend the overhang around the whole park. Chairback seats, the total capacity is going to be fifteen thousand. This is with the new outfield seating.

I have not seen the approval or plans for that expansion. I remember the thread. Wasn’t it just a security guy?

That’s nice but renderings and actual confirmation would be nice.

The school hasn’t had an athletic facility project in a long time. And a new arena is going to be paid for over 30 years. Not sure what we are fundraising for.

I remember a former player saying the renderings pre Covid were next level, but obv that all changed.

Not sure why more projects aren’t funded this way. Remember seeing Penn State say they’re doing a $700m project to football. Could you imagine if LSU had done those renovations all at one instead of piecemeal over 20 years. Stadium wouldn’t look so thrown together.

One of the main things he told me was they wanted to extend the suites all the way to the foul poles.
He says he has been working with the program for 25plus years.

This was not a right now upgrade , but the overall upgrade plan.

There is a long line of people trying to get season tickets. Not only would chairbacks costs more and pay for themselves, there are ways to add more seats and there are people like me that have been on the list for a few years that would snag any tickets I could especially if they weren't bleachers.

So there’s no money, no approvals, no permits, no design plans, etc. But a security guard said it, so it’s coming!

Extending the suites and awning above them down the line would look amazing.
