shite they have a crane out there now. The crane rental would be the most expensive part of a cost estimate. You're talking maybe 2 labor hours to paint (let's call it $150/labor hour) + $75 worth of paint. I'm gonna go ahead and say that if done today (using the crane onsite), would cost LSU $500.00.

If they felt like they had to put a giant Scotty Moran sign/banner/plaque up in that area it should have been placed in such a way to cover the pipe

but in all seriousness, I don't see how that hasn't been painted before. there's a ton of pipe running under the overhang where you can't see it, IIRC, but that one is just sticking out like a sore thumb. something should be done.

I was thinking the same thing.
Several years ago LSU has cool purple and gold banners over on the east side. They could do something similar.
