It's different.
Used to go from ampitheater to pmac then to hill, down hill into stadium.
Now ampitheater down the hill into pmac, then out of pmac into stadium. Going back up the hill is done.

Gay. I leave and they feel the need to change things. I know I was a huge part of their longing to continue all traditions but sheesh. This is OVER THE LINE!!!!!!!!!

This is just another chapter in the never ending
effort by TAF to endear themselves to the rest of the LSU community and remind us of their pre eminence in the fan food chain.
Whether you like it or perceive it to endanger a long cherished tradition is a matter quite too small for them to give a sh*t about.
In the AD's pecking order, the momentary whims of those with cash prevail over the richest, oldest traditions revered by the rest.
in short , IT PISSES ME OFF!

They can't go out the back of the PMAC to the top of the hill any more, because the back of the PMAC is now construction zone. Can't march through a construction zone.

This will turn into the storm of the century when the majority of Tiger fans, who are not on these boards, see this happen on Saturday. There will be a lot of pissed off tradition hungry fans left standing at the gate. If there was one thing I learned in Tiger Band, it was that thing rarely, if ever, change.

Have you ever seen the full band perform in the basketball arena? The acoustics are so awesome that I make sure and never miss a pregame TAF party just because of the band playing inside the dome.
I wish they would do it the traditional way and have them go outside and then come down the hill rather than switching it, but who knows.

And BTW...I really don't think that the TAF fatcats are in the PMAC prior to the game to listen to the band. They are either in a)their motorhomes; b) West Stadium Parking Lot; c.) Stadium Club; d) Tiger Den Suites. Any schlub with 50 bucks can be a TAF member.
And I agree with Picc. It's freakin' gay.

The directors just said that it would help us get into the stadium 1 hour before kickoff as opposed to the 1 hour 50 minutes that we did last year. I thought it didn't make sense to change everything to get to the stadium later. We'll see what it's like when construction is completed
