Karla - I said basically the same thing and he kinda shut up after that. I like the Farrakhan reference.

Timlan uses quotes from 60 years ago to prove white racism.

He's showing his hate for "whitey" (or is it Y T?).

Can't you see Timlan nodding his head and shouting "Amen!" every time he listens to Sharpton? Jesse? Farrakhan? Jeremiah Wright?

Pitiful to come here and smear good people as full of racial hate.

You need to look at the man in the mirror.

If you are looking for something earnestly, you will find it, even if it is not there. It is how some people are conditioned to think. Anything that remotely resembles it, they immediately are sure that is the cause of the disagreement, so a term like hate is the reaction/assumption.

No one hates any of the Tigers (well with millions invoved, there are a very very small percentage of idiots who probably do, as in any population).

The word hate is the most misused word in the English language these days.

The fact is, we look fantastic right now and have climbed to #1 in America with jarrett lee at qb. Everyone has a fear of lee's production changing with jefferson's return. That is all...nothing more, nothing less.
Lee should be our starter based upon what he has done so far this season, I don't give a shite if he is white, black, or blue!
We, as LSU fans, want production, not a team full of white boys. Just win, baby!

If you agree with what someone says its an opinion.
If you dont then its agenda.
I love how quick people are to say so and so has an agenda... Ive been told this 35 times in the past 5-6 weeks.
Ive been called a racist on here by 3-4 posters.
For two reasons.
#1 I like JLee over JJ.
#2 Im from cenla
For NO other reason...NONE. Those two things.

For some reason or another certain people enjoy calling otheres racists.
Thing about it is IMO its generally white people doing the labeling to other white people.
WHen theres nothing left else to do or say,, pull the race card out.

Funny thing about it is.. if we were talking about rbs instead of qbs and the race thing was the exact opposite... you'd never hear a word.
Almost like its PC to say or incinuate you'd rather have a black rb than a white rb... doesnt work that way with qbs, just not how it is.. wonder why?

This.. Yea, Im sick of it, but its funny to see them try so hard... I mean, its not easy to give reasons why JJ should play with his numbers. Oh wait, facts?!?!?

JJ has my support, as long as he mans-up and accepts his role as the back-up QB. If he causes a distraction, or attempts to bring attention to himself, all bets are off. Likewise, I fully support Les Miles, as he has done a great job, but my support will waver if he attempts to insert JJ into the starting role, without JLee doing something to deserve getting benched.
I agree with everything you said but my question is, What can Jarrett do that JJ hasnt done to get him benched? Horrid performances last season for jj didnt seem to warrant a opportunity for JL . So with that i feel that same opportunity should be granted for jl this season. He has also proven to us that he can lead this team.

You didn't do too well with reading comprehension in school, huh?

Did I say anything about whether JJ should PLAY or not?

Or was I commenting on the underlying reasons for the vehemence in the reaction of some that JJ was returning to the team?

I appreciate several of you guys in this thread proving my points exactly.

I don't see where anyone has proved any of your posts.right.

Really looks to me as you keep throwing darts in the dark hoping to hit your Target.

Do you want to tell us what that Target is?

Timlan, I think its your reading comp, most evey person on this board has no problem with him returning to the team, this is strictly about who should lead the team from this point on. Its strictly fear of wheather JJ will cause a disruption between the white and black members of the team, which is what I would expect a person with your views to cause.

You don't need anybody's help to reveal what you're all about, Timln.

Honestly, I'm glad you weighed in. You are the epitome of the race card-playing bigot I was talking about.

I hope Chicken sees your comments, bc I'm not sure he understands the extent to which this factor is falsely fueling the "JJ Hater" talk.

This dude caught flack because he was pointing out the dog whistles that've been used by some regarding JJ (i.e. that he's lazy and entitled though no actual journalist, coach or player who would know has said this). The response was that he must be racist, because he can hear the whistle. Then it was that he wanted JJ to play. So he kept pointing to the time period when dog whistles came into existence because overt racism's time ended. To which the response was, "Oh, I guess you bois with Farakkkan." So the response to his claim that some people are reacting so strongly to JJ being reinstated had to do with race was that he must be racist for noticing. Which is beyond fricking stupid.

It isn't even controversial that some of the venom directed at JJ is based in race. By defending yourself from his claim, you're accepting that it is an attack in your case, i.e. that you are one of the "some" whose venom is based in race. That's how you proved his point.

Class dismissed.

BTW, JJ should be welcomed back to the fold. It would be completely ridiculous to start him or give him 1/2 snaps at this point given the way JL has played. Just means WE STACKED, BITCHES!

Well, this thread has been anchored, so I guess we aren't supposed to have an honest discussion about this.

But I'll say this. I don't have a problem with. JJ being back on the team, as long as he accepts his role and supports. JL.

As for the people like. Timlan who support Jj over and above LSU, and will continue to play the race card, you. Can all go jump in the lake.
