Briles was widely considered a scumbag before the rape stuff broke.

You simply cannot bring him on as a HC or OC without some time for things to blow over.

No. Just noting similarities. Clean program with fewer wins is where we were.

No excuse for this guy being anywhere around this program. If you hold Mile's accountable for the entire football operations, then you should hold Brile's accountable for everything that happened under his watch at Baylor.

So you're saying we should have kept Les Miles.

I don't believe for a second that Briles is as guilty as this report made him out to be. Briles was the fall guy.

The report was commissioned by and paid for by Baylor!

A "fall guy" is a low-level employee sacrificed for the benefit of a leader. Briles was the dadgum leader! He. Knew. About. Everything.

Why are some of you knighting for a guy whose only redeeming quality is making Baylor competitive in the big 12?! He's a shite head, bare minimum.

From all I hear in the Houston area, I believe you are correct that Briles took the fall. Have a friend from UOH. Seeing him, tonight. He is in the coaches loop. Will ask a lot of questions and post any facts that he knows.

Yes, we don't need to hire a sixty year old coach.

Why would LSU hire a 70 year old man?

yes...my son's HS coach hates the bastard...that's an aberration around these parts though...every team, just about, runs that offence, and the hero worship is thru the roof...every coach and prospect have been thru their camps... he put Baylor back on the map and that's a big deal around these parts...if these pious Baptists didnt have a magnifying on their program, Briles would still be there...alot of people expect him to return when the heat goes away

I get the sentiment, but most of you need to get your "news" from some outlet other than ESPN.

Briles received a payment of several million dollars, perhaps as much as 14M, to keep quiet. He was NOT terminated for cause.

There is NO written PH report that anyone has ever gone on record as seeing - only a verbal report.

Briles, his staff and not a single football player were EVER interviewed for the PH report.

The President of the Univ. and AD were also fired but not a single assistant coach?

LSU fan needs to realize CAB was a scapegoat for a miserly dysfunctional, fundamentalist BOR and although I'm sure made mistakes, in no way is a monster or was complicit in covering up rapes. Had this happened at any other big time university, it would have been handled in house (see Tennessee this summer).

LSU could do FAR WORSE than hiring CAB.

.... and for those not paying attention, all of this investigative journalism was started by ESPN, you know, the same company who owns the mierable failure known as the Longhorn Network. I hope some of you are smarter than this.

DALSU says Briles will never be coach at LSU.

And dammit, I trust DALSU.

Someone will hire Briles. Possibly Auburn. They have no scruples. (They hired Pearl)

I don't think LSU will consider Briles. They passed on Petrino when Saban left. Petrino was too sleazy and arrogant.
