i didn't tailgate when i lived in BR

i like easy access to bathrooms, being able to watch multiple games at once (without glare), good food, and not hanging around a bunch of fricking idiots. that makes tailgating on LSU's campus a bad bet for me

We are right next to the law bathrooms, with awesome food, and we are kickass people in the first place. Our tv does have a glare though.

As much as I do love gameday on campus, I must admit that the bye week every year always ends up being one of my favorite saturdays of the fall. I do miss not getting to watch the other games to the extent that I want.

I also don't love the amateur hour football talk. I've long since stopped joining or correcting those conversations, and i'm better for it.

But at the same time the things you don't like regarding the inconvenience are outweighed by the things I do like about it for me personally. I like the anticipation I get on campus, I like talking with my good friends and family, I like having a good drink outside, I like to cook and eat the foods that are out there. And I like the scene as a whole and being part of it.

Tailgating doesn't define the LSU football experience for me the way it seems to for a lot of the fanbase, but i love it as a buildup to the crescendo of the game.

I think when your 18-40 years old going to Tiger Stadium is second to none(and have done my share)..But when you get past that age the conveniences and like the other poster stated having good company and cooking at the house is not a bad option

it's pretty neat to build a relationship with the people who sit around you. You may only see them 7 or 8 times a year, but you become friends.

true, but the only really suck games should be towson, north texas, and idaho. washington should be pretty good,
so half the games are shite or pretty good and 2 of the conference games are Miss St. and Ole Miss. meh

I had to give mine up two years ago because of the economy. If you have a couple of decent home games and sell those, then you can make all your money back and maybe a profit.

But then you are missing the good games to save money. I would say it's not worth it except I do miss paying face value for SECCG and MNCG tickets.

I get tix to damn near any game I want for less than $100, usually I get them at face if I wait closer to game time.

It's about supporting LSU, not value as it were.

I am by no means weathly. That being said......for me, $500 is a bargain to be able to drive to Baton Rouge and tailgate for 24 hours and mainly to just sit in Tiger Stadium. I look at it as my annual vacation.

Probably not. Sell me the tickets and give me the rights. Win/Win

This is the reason I am not splitting the cost with my family for our Saints tickets. I spent $1,400 last season and went to one game.

With a bad offense like we have seen the last few years, they are not worth it. Would be sort of worth it if Miles would play the backup guys in blowout wins so that we could 'see' what the future looks like, but he won't do that either.

Ugly offense plus great defense = ugly blowout games against little sisters of the poor = not must see TV.

ETA: the big games are obviously worth it but you don't need season tickets for those.

You can dump the parking pass and unless you "need" 4 tickets, only renew 2.

I'll make an assumption you're married and your spouse attends games, so that means you need 2. What about the other 2...who goes on them?? Friends...other family members? You tell them you're dropping 2 because of cost and they'll probably offer to pay for them. If not...they are just mooching off of you.

You can always sell off the other tickets...there's always someone wanting to buy tickets.

Last year I built and outdoor kitchen/bar area with a 60" flat screen.Throw in the zero gravity chairs, fire pit, good friends and the lack of idiots and this 51 year old has found nirvana. Now I do still travel at least twice to bigger away games. This suits me and my lifestyle much better than the gameday experience I enjoyed for 30 years.I just sll my 4 season tix and retain my standing.

And that experience is nothing like what it used to be.
