It’s got to suck knowing you can’t party like a normal kid with covid yet your coach is in lauberge swimming with thots

Ummm...not in Baton Rouge. Maybe around Lake Charles, Lafayette, and NOLA area you can make that argument.

Sounds like he might have failed some classes and this is his cover story.

I had a college sophomore at my dental office last week telling me how miserable her semester is sitting in front of a computer all day - no live classes. The college experience is gone right now. I’m not just talking about partying, but hanging out in groups having fun.
They get interaction with their buddies, far, far, far more than regular college students.

A bit different take so ignore or take it for what it is. I have a freshman at LSU. For Thanksgiving that Freshman brought a few other freshman home with them that didn’t have a chance to travel. Their stories were interesting. These are smart kids. Pre-Med kids in a couple cases. Academics at LSU in this online world is subpar.
-Online classes are bad. Many are recorded and the recordings do not match the skills needed for tests.
-Teachers are inaccessible. They don’t show up for office hours and don’t respond to phone calls or emails
-Teachers Assistants are like revolving doors. One of the kids had a class that changed TA 3 times in 1 week. She didn’t know who to reach for help
-Uploading quizzes and tests and homework is a crapshoot. Sometimes it works sometimes it doesn’t. In many cases the student has no clue that it didn’t fully upload until the teacher posts the grade. It’s virtually impossible to correct if the teacher is inaccessible.
-Some teachers aren’t posting test, quiz and homework grades for 4-6 weeks.
Out of the 6 kids that came for Thanksgiving 2 said they were transferring out for Spring. Going closer to home. The way LSU Academics has approached COVID hasn’t been good and for freshman away from home it’s a huge transition without a lot of payoff. I’m sure athletes are feeling the same pressures as the freshman without enjoying wins.

Exactly.
Can't comment on Arik's mental situation (and neither should anyone else), but in general this lockdown stuff is harmful for the young.

The only thing that I can say is that he is lucky that he didn't have to do a 24 month tour of duty in Germany like I did. In 1980 there were no Cellphones, today you can FaceTime with the family and friends endlessly. Send text messages, actually I get jealous thinking about how good these kids have it today. Of course they take their advantages for granted.

I was from the small town of Many when I went to LSU, it was an adjustment to say the least, but part of life.
These kids playing football are treated like kings with a scholarship.
Need to Nutt Up!
