2 songs before the game starts hardly equals what au does dude. im assuming you weren't there last night.

We do it in pregame before the band gets in
It's still lame. And we also play the video before the team runs out, which I'm sure an opposing team's fans might find cheesy. Not to mention, I'm quite certain those same fans are not impressed with "Hot Boudin, Cold Coush Coush" or that "Neck" crap. But that's the point...all that stuff is done for the home team fans not the visitors.

You'd be wrong. I didn't say I liked it...I said...piped in music is piped in music. I don't give a shite if it's before, during or after.
It's called being objective.

once again playing 2 songs before the game is not the same as blarring it the whole time. Thats the point.

no it doesn't.
it was terrible compared to tiger stadium.

The fans were OK around me and my friend except these 2 guys kept calling LSU and us CORNDOGS...We could have squashed these little turds but I finally stood up and asked the whole crowd near us if they smelled any corndogs...I also said we can all pull our pants down and sniff butts and see who had the arse that mostly compared to a corndog....No takers, they were scared of us after that and I never heard a peep from these assholes behind us. But all in all, I liked the people and their passion for AU.

How so? And please, give a reason other than "piped in music."
Posted on 9/21/08 at 10:23 pm to Redfish2010
Ok, give me a reason why it was terrible.

Being objective is being able to tell that there is a difference between playing music in PREGAME and DURING THE GAME. It's a college football game, and you have a school band. Be proud of them and let them pump up your crowd, don't try to drown them out with bass during every dead ball.

I love Tiger Stadium, but to say AU is terrible...you've got some overly thick purple and gold glasses on. I've been to AU twice, and it's a great atmosphere on gameday.
I just love my Tiger Stadium more.

Uh, I know the difference. And we have loud arse commercials playing during time outs the entire game...hell that's worse than the piped in music. The point is, if that is the way they do things over there, so be it. It's about THEM. It's their stadium. We don't have to like everything they do. But people are acting like piped in music just destroyed the atmosphere and that's just incorrect.

Does Auburn pay Bon Jovi for playing living on a prayer at the stadium before the game?
Posted on 9/21/08 at 10:34 pm to Obi-Wan Tiger
No, it's not incorrect, it's different opinions. Neither one is right or wrong. Everyone feels one way or the other, and that just happens to be how I feel, apparantly along with many other LSU fans.

So you felt the atmosphere last night was lacking?
Posted on 9/21/08 at 10:39 pm to Obi-Wan Tiger
Compared to the big-game atmosphere in Tiger Stadium, yes. I thought that Death Valley during the Auburn and Florida games last year was much more electric than Jordan Hare last night, but that's my opinion.
Posted on 9/21/08 at 10:40 pm to Rollie Fingers
Not sure, but LSU stole it from them.

I respect your opinion but I thought the Fla game last year was electric leading up to it and certainly during the 4th quarter. But TS was pretty much a morgue in the first half once Fla took the lead with the exception of the announcement of USC losing.
I mean I don't think there is a better atmosphere than TS, but it just seems like some people (not saying you) are reluctant to admit that there are good experiences at other places. Saying you enjoyed Auburn doesn't mean you're dissing Death Valley.
