Harris isn't nearly as bad as he is being portrayed by some. Doesn't mean I want him starting over DE. He was dealt a shite hand under LM/CC and was forced to try and excel in a flawed system.
Everyone harps on his poor short and intermediate throws...and yeah they were putrid at times. I still lay that at the feet of the coaches. Train the kid for christ's sake!! Bring in someone/anyone who can help him. He's got the tools.

I took stats for him at practice when i worked for LSU. this just isn't true.

You really this dumb? Or just trolling?

I was too but I get the feeling under coach O that Harris is not an option. Just a hunch.

I just said I was curious a-hole. Harris was terrible with Miles and Cam at the helm, but so were all the other QB's here save Mett for one season.

No. no. No.
We have our QB
We have our QB

He played one full game against a good wisky team.

Etling needs all the game time he can get going into the stretch. Good call by CEO to keep him in there.

Stop giving these idiots a chance to bash the kid. I'm sure Harris is embarrassed enough and doesn't need a fanbase continue to sht on him when he hasn't play a game in weeks.
It's not "bashing" of "shitting on" to point out that Harris has played poorly and doesn't need to see the field.
Criticism goes with the job of playing QB at an elite football school. There are literally hundreds of others colleges where the spotlight doesn't shine so bright, but Harris voluntarily signed to play here. So that means big expectations and big pressure. And criticism when warranted.

We've all heard that Brandon is a beast in practice, and now with D. Smith solidifying what we all believed that Miles scaled the play book back for games. Is anyone else curious as to how Harris would perform in this new offense?
Who knows, but perhaps Harris was part of the reason the offense was scaled back. As soon as Etling came in vs. JSU the offense opened up.

Almost exactly a year ago, LSU was 7-0 and averaging 39 pts/game. B. Harris was coming off a 3 game stretch of the following stats:
18-28 for 228 yds. 2 TDs and 0 INTs
13-19 for 202 yds. 2 TDs and 0 INTs
11-20 for 286 yds. 3 TDS and 0 INTs
Just putting things in perspective. I'm happy to see Etling playing well and hope he continues it for this year and next. However, all of the criticism towards Harris, Miles, Cam, etc. is going overboard.
Ignore those stats and look at the games. Its HOW Etling operates that it the big deal. He senses pressure and slides. He makes progressions and hits the open guy. He finds the checkdown and keeps the offense on schedule. Some of that NEVER happened with Harris. Much of it was rare.

Perfect example of B.Harris struggles. Maybe he makes the right read in practice.
Look at the Dural at the line of scrimmage, defender is not pressing. Look at Dupre and the defender in press coverage. B.Harris already has decided where he's throwing this ball before the play is snapped.
B.Harris locks in on Dupre

There is no new offense!
Where have you been?
The players keep saying there are no new plays. They have run all these plays in practice. They never got called in the game because Harris could not complete them when it mattered.
Maybe you should have Harris on your fantasy team.

Just take yourself back to Lambeau field versus Wisconsin for the 1st and 15 play that ended our chances to win the game. Lack of poise is the issue.
Posted on 10/17/16 at 4:31 pm to TigahTeeth
It's obvious BH didn't know the playbook and couldn't make reads so the offense was from the Stone Age.
Posted on 10/17/16 at 4:32 pm to TigahTeeth
Remember, Brandon Harris couldn't hit moving golf carts at the Manning Passing Academy. That was all we needed to know.
