I think that's the hardest part. We all knew last summer that LeMahieu (A), Schimpf (A), Coleman (AA), Cain (A), Mitchell (A), etc. would leave big shoes to fill, but the start this year was amazing and got everyone thinking about the possibility of back-to-back titles. Now everyone is hoping we make the SEC tournament, and get a 2 seed at an away Regional. It's like we were doing it with smoke and mirrors the first 2/3 of the season. None of the glaring deficiencies were hurting us, and we were able to survive usually, and even dominate occasionally. Now it's like the law of averages is catching up with us. It's been one of the more painful seasons in a while, but still beats the hell out of the Smoke years. I guess I'm still a posi-Tiger, and think Manieri is a smart enough guy to fix the problems this year and make sure we don't have another season like this one.

Not going to a regional....i have to say this site has some of the most ignorant posters that i have been around, and i've been around a lot of boards. IF lsu can claw back and win this series and do well at SC, they will host a regional as a number 1 seed. If they don't win this series against kentucky but win a game and then close with a sweep against a pitiful miss state team, they will still be a 1 seed in the regional. IF they win 2/3 against state they may wind up a 2 seed in their own regional at worst case. They can't win the NC every single year...geez there are some real idiots on this site. LSU fans are nothing like they used to be and it's too bad. The new age of fans are just spoiled brats and not very smart either. The team had a rpi of 15 entering this weekend....geez.

we dont go to SC and we are sure as hell not gonna be a #1 seed or host a regional. This might be the biggest collapse ever in college baseball i predict 2 and out at hoover
