Agreed. How bad(inconsistent) is college umpiring? That 3-1 strike called on Romero was horrendous!

He missed a hanging breaking ball on the first pitch when all he needed to do was hit a flyball. Then, after being fed 5 straight breaking balls he chases one out the zone.
Romero had a good weekend, but if he sees any significant playing time going forward he is going to see all breaking balls until he learns to hit them.

Can't really blame Romero for swinging at the 3-2 pitch. Ump would've probably called it a strike.

Was a bad call or a purposeful call by the ump. Romero should have been on first. But a pitch Romero cannot hit in his lifetime was made by that pitcher and again he SO. Then Jordan made the appropriate last out being from Lake Charles and all.

Reid needs more ABs this year. He may not be the most talented but he has the discipline and approach at the plate that is losing us games right now.
